therock Supersonic January 9, 2019 Share January 9, 2019 This is the typical situation I am seeing daily on PIE, KJE, BKE, SLE, etc... I can only keep my finger crossed that I will not be a victim of such accident. https://www.facebook.com/Roads.sg/videos/2253298058055482/?t=21 That's why we wear helmets... and why we eat a lot of food, so we are well padded when we go for 3 factor difficulty in performing a tough summersault... 7/10 And yes, PAP - pay and punish... ↡ Advertisement

Beng2 5th Gear January 9, 2019 Share January 9, 2019 Good rear tyre will skid straight line. Bad rear tyre will skid sideway. If you lock the rear wheel and instinctively try to steer left, you won't skid straight line.

uniquely_ad 5th Gear January 9, 2019 Share January 9, 2019 Another right turn incident.. Biker didn’t even Slow down when nearing junction. That’s why I always say, always assume other Drivers are idiots which is why we need to safeguard ourselves by being a defensive rider/driver.

Fortunately, in Singapore, no assumptions are needed.
Carbon82 Moderator January 9, 2019 Share January 9, 2019 Maybe LTA can consider installing such retractable bollards at controlled junction with high accident rate. Hearse accident https://www.facebook.com/Roads.sg/videos/231033841143272/ Can't see the video. Any other link? Forgot about lane discipline???You can see the video? How? Biker didnât even Slow down when nearing junction. Thatâs why I always say, always assume other Drivers are idiots which is why we need to safeguard ourselves by being a defensive rider/driver.I said that many times. Road users here lack situation awareness.
Ct3833 Supersonic January 9, 2019 Share January 9, 2019 It's three lanes, buses and lorries are allowed anyway. My question is same as other, how does the old merc get coverage from biker? Not a cheap repair. in fact i think the damage on the merc might not be severe. this is a w211 E Class, one the toughest E200 ever . I drove one before , very tough and well built car. Maybe lane 3 safest as bikes usually don’t take that lane

therock Supersonic January 10, 2019 Share January 10, 2019 I don't know about everyone else, but IMHO, a wave of apology often defuses the situation significantly. I have done some silly things, and gotten glares and car horns, but a quick wave cools the temperature down a lot.. Even in situations when the other driver is still angry, just take your lumps, and then move on.... No cooling measures needed in SG if everyone does the same..
