Thought 2 in 1 washer/dryer not really recommended to buy?

not sure, won't be using the dryer so often anyway.

I also bought a Panasonic 2 in 1 but only used the drying function once (it's not a full dryer, something like drying assist).  Prefer free drying using the sun.

After 8 years, Ariston WM bearing broke and it is expensive to repair.

Bought Midea 9.5kg Front Load WM for less than $600 on Shopee.

This WM will freak out ole skool ppl as the control is full electronic.

It can be controlled via an app.

That's not expensive. But unless u are doing blankets/bedsheets, probably a 2 pax household won't use so heavy load.

My sis switched from her MIG Bosch to LG.

My 5 year old MIC Bosch is still working well.

I bought a 4-ticks 8kg LG FL last year. It cost about $750, but offset by $400 climate voucher.

I was thinking of Midea but decided against it.

Why did you decide against Midea?

Midea is unknown to me. The price is good, no doubt. But if there's one breakdown, that repair cost will catch up quickly. Then there's rumours of parts availability and some others. So I decided LG is a safer bet, although I may be wrong.
