woo hoo !!!!

Couti 38 million can already.

He is a failure.

Failed in Spain, Failed in Germany.

Before Pool bought him failed in Italy also playing for Inter.

That's why he only cost 8.5 million.

Barca offered Arsenal Ousmane Dembele for £44.5m as Barcelona put flop winger up for sale.

Dembele 23 and Couti is 28 so 38m for Couti enough.

Couti also offered to take a pay cut to come back to Pool.

100k can already

Arsenal, as usual low-balling... 😄

Dembele is actually very good, but prima donna yaya papaya. no heart. ..... he rise too fast (or rather his value). His high level career will be over by 25, prob end up playing at Qatar or China

wonder why he failed at those places. Because they didn't play him at the right positions? Cannot be Inter, Bayern, Barca all play him out of position..

I think his body only work well on English diet

Liverpool let him roam anywhere he wants and with limited defensive duties.

A bit of a luxury player.

At Barca Messi is the only luxury player and not going to give up the role.

We should welcome Coutinho back... provided at the right price. If we are unwilling to fork out 50M for a younger player in Timo, then it wont make sense for Coutinho to come back at a higher economic costs.  I suspect if the deal really comes true, it will likely be a loan deal.  Barca wants to recoup the transfer fees but the issue is no one will take him at 80-100M. Even at 50m, you will find very few suitors.  Think this loan deal will only happen if the window is about to close and Barca is desperate to want be subsidized on his hefty wages..

I am feeling a bit nervy on the return to EPL. No doubt Pool just need 2 wins but the 1st game will truly be a baptism of fire as it will be local derby. Everton will be fired up and there is no form table to gauge either. The sharpness and fitness of both teams will be open to question. By the time Pool plays, City may have already recover 6 pts for the 25 pt lead. so the lead may be smaller than we think it is, by the time Pool kicks off to restart its season. Winning at Goodison is no by means any walk in the park.  Everton will be pumped up to fight tooth and nail for sure.

the only good thing about the everton match is that it's at an empty goodison park, so their home advantage is negated.

I think LFC would only consider Courtinho on a "loan-to-buy" basis. Honestly speaking, as much as I like Courtinho during his days with LFC, he is 28 this year and not worth paying anything in excess of 40M. Besides, his current pay with Barcelona is understandably at 240K per week and that would only be second to VVD if he signs a new deal. Look, LFC cope pretty well without him when he left (in actual fact, we perform better). As such, there is no real reason (except for sentimental ones) to bring him back. I would rather pay for some one that is in his early or mid twenties for the same amount of money.
