How come u doubt Mason Mount? He has been Chelsea's most consistent player for quite awhile already and his pressing n work rate is really good[thumbsup] Even England National team who have an abundance of good midfielders like Grealish, Maddison, Ward Prowse etc has Mount as first choice on most occasions.

Andreas Christensen I agree nvr looked a solid defender and in fact he seems soft to me. The difference is he is now playing as the last man so he doesn't have anyone to mark which means his job is to sweep up, read the game and he is also good on the ball. So for his case, it's about positional change which plays to his strengths.

Inversely, Zouma has suffered as he is a pure defender not so suited to 3 men back line. That's why different players will strive differently under different Mgrs. Pulisic and Abraham has also suffered under Tuchel.

mount dun seem as skillful or as fast or powerful as the rest of chelsea mid last time , esp  during last season and early this season, he really improving alot.

zouma is clumsy on the ball and prone to lasp. the only time when opposition team score against chelsea under tuchel is when zouma start.

really glad kante is slowly getting back his place, he was inj when tuchel came. Jorginho and Kovacic partner in mid is so good, i fear he cannot break in, but now can see clearly tuchel rotating the 3, Kovacic is given a rest this time.

i hope when kai come back he can take over mount, he need a break,

Everton game in hand is away to Villa whilst West Ham game in hand is home to Arsenal. Both are tough games and this Monday night it's Chelsea v Everton!

Frankly, it's any team from 2nd place Man U down to 10th place Arsenal who could qualify for UCL, so it's 9 teams fighting for 3 places! Don't forget also that 4th place may not qualify though I doubt this will happen.

Pardon me for being so cruel but I don't feel sorry for Barca at all. Their club is run politically and they have taken advantage of their history and status to poach players at cheap prices and attracted talented youths thru $. I suppose alot of clubs are guilty of this as well but Barca do it more blatantly n they are cheapos in squeezing prices of selling clubs and if u say City, PSG and Chelsea spoil market, I think the Catalans are worse as at least those clubs pay the going rate.

Apologies if I have offended Barca fans here but just my opinion. Ironic that they are cheapskates in paying for players but held ransom by Messi on his wages and perks. Obviously, they have overpaid him with obscene wages which are not sustainable and now they paying the price for it.

They have since changed their business model.

No more buy players on the cheap.

Now they buy players on the expensive and regret buying them like Coutinho and Dembele.

They are thru to the Spanish Cup Final though so some silverware may beckon albeit a minor one. Yes u r right that their finances r in really bad shape. As I always say, what goes around, comes around.

Pool in full blown crisis, never expected such a turnaround in fortunes; so quickly from an unstoppable team to a easily beatable team. Initially I thought it was the defensive injury crisis which meant players played out of position n also partly cos the gegenpress meant the players starting to burn out but seems it's more to it than that.

Has Klopp lost the dressing room? His changing of 7 players for last night's game doesn't make sense as the RB is actually a winger n not as if he plays as a wing back as Pool plays a flat back 4. Could Klopp be putting all his cards to win UCL to qualify for next season's competition? Risky if u ask me as anything can happen in k/o competitions. Trying times at Anfield........

U r right but they cant hv deteriorated from being the most feared attack to a limp one overnight right? The fearsome 3 of Firminio, Mane n Salah shld be at their prime right now as all under 30yrs old. I don't hv the answers but I just find it strange that they can't conjure up a goal between them at Anfield this year bar a penalty.

All sorts of conspiracy theories aplenty from Mane and Salah not getting along to they being burnt out as they were not rotated much this few years etc. Your guess is as good as mine!
