Jammed wheel nut

@Yeobh usually those are made in Taiwan or China Socket..Socket for Spark Plugs..best use KTC brand from Japan..it's Magnet very good.

Just to provide some closure to the Jammed nut issue.

I contacted the shop and showed the pictures. They then asked for my car plate and how much i paid for the repair which was $40. They were gracious enough to say that they will pay half, but also mentioned that the thread pitch is 1.25 thus quite easy to mess up. the reason they said they couldn't pay in full was because the tires were installed in July2021. Not sure why it mattered as i also had no reason to remove the rims until now, when it was due for a 10k km rotation.

In any case, at least they bothered to answer and own up and paid me. So there was a pretty decent service recovery, i was not expecting them to offer to pay at all.

And good of the workshop to resolve this minor issue. I can think of 10 other workshops that will be evasive and try to pick a fight with the customer over such trivial matters...

Usually, how good or bad a shop is, depends on $$$.

If they acknowledge their fault and/or return some/all $$$, then likely it's called a good shop.

If they don't ack or refuse to return $$$, then they are a bad shop.

I’m sure you also have had your fair shares of incidents over the years with change batteries. 🤣

Yeap, usually the ignorant, who left their lights on, or something in the car discharge the battery flat, cannot start their car, wants to claim warranty.

I always explain upfront what is warranty, but some of them won't listen. Then there will be a dispute. One of them threaten to take me to court. But never heard from him since.

Some shops will just replace that flat battery to avoid confrontation and bcum a "good" shop. So what do you think happened to that battery ? It will be charged and sold to the next customer.

Hahaha. Only idiots will say court court court. Only idiots do not know that not going to court can buy them batteries to last the next 10-20years, if not for the rest of their lives.
