I hope so - what if they run off? 

But in certain countries, they lock the other door, only kerbside door is open, especially where there are fast cyclists..

A lot of clueless passengers, just stop wherever they want.. PHV driver also inexperience to stop on the side of a major road, should have gone into a side road.. safer for everyone.

I thought with the PDVL license incurring demerit points and getting fines will get them suspended easily?

Why this clown still on the road? He should have gotten rid of himself long ago driving like this.

Many passengers and PHV/taxi driver same same, all are idiots and using their pigu to think. The driver can simply stop anywhere they want, stop in such a way that create inconvenience to others road user. And passengers alight anyhow without looking out on their surroundings. All these people deserve it fully when they got into accident. -_-
