This is the govt’s job isnt it? Since they already poke their heads to try to manage private industries, medical which is so essential must be one of them. Please include vet charges as well. It's much more expensive than services for humans! It is so expensive I think many would just have to leave their pets to heal themselves or die. Now, I don't own pets, so I don't know what these vets are charging. But every time I walked past it daily to my kopitiam, it has no more than two "patients" inside, so the margin must be pretty good to keep the clinic going. 😆 Edited June 29, 2023 by Starry

If sick n no money, just head to SPCA or any other animal shelters. Edited June 29, 2023 by jcmm 1

Its called a pet for a very good reason, it’s your family member Yes, totally agree. Our pet dog died of a heart failure more than 30 years ago, and it took us a few years to get over it emotionally. I have since refuse to keep another pet other than some fishes for an experiment, which I gave to the fish shop after the project. Financial and emotion aside, it is also about responsibility. And yes, many ppl never realise that it is actually not as cheap as it appears to keep pets. Maybe can consider a medisave project for pets as well in future.
