These type of "Vehicle Lay Up" is for 2nd Hand Car Dealers like @Jamesceat those difficult to sell Cars & cannot sell out,not for going Holidays type.

If "Lay Up" for 1 Month, your Car's COE extend for 1 Month, then worth it.

Shoik to pay less (legally) to LTA even if it is one dollar!

Of course. But it feels only worth if you legitimately won't use the car for quite a long period. And I don't think it will be good for the car to just sit around. Can't even drive around to warm up the car.

If I am away it won't be used. Getting someone to start the car every few days to keep the battery alive is a different matter. But that is needed whether laid up or not.

True. But I think would be safer if it's in a private compound. Not sure what are the implications if you start a laid up car in public carpark.

Starting the car should have no implications. There is no need to drive it around. Also even in HDB car parks, technically it is not public roads and not under LTA jurisdiction.

HDB is public road.

Only condo and GCB can.
