So far, unless is using MPV shape, 4.8m not quite enough to have comfy 3rd row if using 'classic' SUV shape.

The only SUV that passed the leg room for the 3rd row is the Mercedes R and the Hyundai Palisade.

The bonnet of current Volvo model are too long and a waste of space. I admit I am not tall (enough), and had difficulty in closing the bonnet of say S80, XC90 when checking out the car at showroom.

If they have shorten the front by 150 - 200mm, it could give a boost to the interior and luggage space, making their car more usable. Have to say the Japanese is really good in this aspect.

It is likely for crumple zone.

It opens all the way up high is for ease of maintenance as well. So if you're a mechanic doing stuff over the engine bay, the bonnet doesn't get in the way. If you're short, u close the bonnet by holding down the sides of it to pull it down, you don't actually have to reach all the way to the top mah 😆

The look is very similar to the new XC70 as I have guessed (minus the frameless window).

OK, so it turns out that I am mislead by Volvo teaser shots, as the new EX60 is strictly a 5 seater. My bad.

The outlook is a little plain but has that trademark Scandinavian look of all modern Volvos. The new door handler looks unique, but they are not the first to come up with this design (Ford is the first with the Mustang Mach-E). The horizontal screen on the dash look kind of like a cut and paste from other Geely-owned brands, and the steering, ahhhh why???

Still, I look forward to seeing the car in metal, although I know I wouldn't be getting one...

Where's the handles? Won't pass Chinese regulations. No buttons. And the rear opening is small, robbing it of some practicality.

The rest quite all right.

The black fin is the handle. Boot space 630l, considered bigger than most.

If it is a fin, yeah then won't pass new regulations. And pinch to open? Fingers got arthritis can be hard.
