Need advice if i want to change the current steering wheel to 4 spoke design.

Spoke to SA, they claimed my sw doesn't comes with airbag therefore they can't juz change it as it is very dangerous. Personally, i love the 4 spoke steering found in the sedan. Any advice should get it change outside? It is really dangerous to modify?

Have you got your SW already? Concentrate on major item first before you buy. YOu got plenty of time to mod small item, like steering wheel.

You can ask Reboto, he got very nice interior upgrade.

i think parking the station wagon may be very challenging even with reverse sensor.

Saw this nice rear mirror from Tucson.

Dangerous in what way?

Maybe during accident no cushion to protect you.

The stock wheel quite well padded.

I have changed my steering wheel to an Isotta Vallelunga.

www.isotta.com/sez_volanti/volanti/vallelunga.htm

Only thing you have to look out for is the boss kit.

Could only find a MOMO one that fit with some modification.

Had to file off a bit of the bottom edge as it was rubbing against some screws in the steering column.

Seldom see station wagons with this kinda mirror, Anyway, its not tat tough to park it after you drive it a couple of days, althouh its length is close to 4.6m, its still shorter than the japs 2L cars like camrys and blah blah. just park it like any other sedan, easy even without sensors.

It is the steering wheel knob. Like in a forklift.

Helps me in my parking. I very lazy one.

Have actually considered a short shifter.

There is one from 360dynamics. Canadian company. They specialize in GM cars.

Excerpt from their website.

Our exclusive short shifters are based on brand new OEM unit, and features mirror-polished Isotta gearknob, and lift-up insert. Shortens throws by approximately 20%. The shifter provides the safety feature of the reverse gear lock-out. The unit is multi-fit, and suitable for the following:

Aveo / Kalos / Wave

Optra / Forenza / Reno / Lacetti

Nubira / Leganza / Lanos

Lemans / Racer / Astra Mk2 and Mk3

Keychain I got from Summit Racing. Same with the Filtermag and Pressure guage.

As for Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. (TPMS)

Have considered the RoadSnoop from Com4Tyres.

Still deciding about a few things.

1. Whether it is accurate enough.

2. Battery life. Wouldn't want to remove tyre to change batteries.

3. Whether it would contribute to wheel balance problem.

4. After installation would another tyre shop know how to change tyres without damaging the unit.

[sweatdrop] forklift ? But the short shifter if you getting and have a local installer let me know, I interested, buy two maybe cheaper. make the car look and feel more deluxe. Now the long throw is like forklift [laugh] anyway, out car has body kit already, 800+ only + spray. in this month hotstuff mag I think. if u getting a 16" or 17" it iwll compliment nicely.
