holidae Neutral Newbie February 20, 2016 Share February 20, 2016 (edited) Currently driving Honda Jazz which is expiring soon end of the year, so I am thinking of getting a new car and Honda Vezel is one of my choices. Have read through some of these posts about Vezel and I have a few queries which hopefully the Vezel owners can help: 1) Understand that Vezel is only available through parallel imports for now. How reliable are PIs/ what is your experience? 2) Any issues with repairs/parts/servicing? Is it still possible to go to the Honda workshop if we don't buy from kahmotor? 3) what were your other considerations when you choose to buy Vezel? Thanks! Vinzntonic 4th Gear February 20, 2016 Share February 20, 2016 I have driven my Vezel X for one week, very enjoyable every ride, I am ok with the noise lvl that most of Vezeler complained as I am a new driver without any comparisons. break hold is the function I liked most, which enable you rest your feet while waiting, however, I still think some rooms to be modified and make it better, really appreciated that anyone here could help me. 1, Acceleration(stop to move) is not enough, I saw some people mentioned E-throttle booster could help, anyone knew what is the e-throttle booster?and how much to install it? 2,the seat and turning wheel ajustment: I always can not find the suitable ajustment for both, turning wheel is too far away if my leg could stretch comfortably. anyone had similar problems? 3, I remembered that previously some discussed the way how to make power on to play audio while engine is off, could enlighten me once again as I can not find it? 4, because I am a new driver, my FC is terribly bad, only 10km/L, High way/cit= 5/5. what driving habits could save petrol? Thanks, Hans 1) Do read up on it first to see if it really suits you.. 2) The steering wheel can actually extend closer to the the driver, when adjusting u can just pull the steering back. 3) u can just press off engine when gear set to N or just on the engine button twice without depressing the brak 4) control ur acceleration. anyway ur mileage should improve after ur first 1k servicing.. Daniu82 Supercharged February 21, 2016 Share February 21, 2016 Hi, I just wan to ask what is the CEVS rebate for Vezel? My friends said the CEVS rebate is 5k and after driving for 10 years, you can only get back very little money. Is this true?

Andyngps 5th Gear February 21, 2016 Share February 21, 2016 (edited) Hi, I just wan to ask what is the CEVS rebate for Vezel? My friends said the CEVS rebate is 5k and after driving for 10 years, you can only get back very little money. Is this true?Deps on the variant you got. Rebate can be up to 15k. 5k for S, 10k for X and 15k for hybrid if i am not wrong. And yes, you get back very little money but if your rebate is high, you can get back a minimum rebate which may be quite ok after all. In any cade the rebate us like returning you the money to begin with, but i do not see the advantage to the consumer. Dealers stand to gain instead. However, if say i am comparing Car A and Car B, with both price the same and Car A has $0 rebate while Car B $10k rebate, and all other specs being similar, i would of course get Car A. KM is trying to make a comeback? Their hrv is not only at 16% premium and only one variant. Given their promo and current vezel price, the price seems to be 10k higher only compared to previously they are trying with a near 20k premium. Despite the fact, how to win over vezel's prospective customers if they are still with lower specs? I think those who bought hrv much earlier may be really heartache. Imho and no offence. GLXi 1st Gear February 22, 2016 Share February 22, 2016 anybody here drive into JB alot?? isit safe esp with new cars?? I thinking of getting the steering lock. There are a few general rules that you will have to bear in mind :- 1. Park only in barrier car park at shopping centre where passenger traffic is high. 2. Keep your parking coupon with you. 3. If you get knock from behind by a motorcyclist , or car... Dont stop your car and inspect the damage. Just move on. Chances are that you get robbed is very high 4. Don't display valuables or bags where motorist can see through the windows. Would be theft will use their helmets to smash your windows and grab your bags. 5. Install a anti theft device - one that has a double lock feature , disable the engine and there is no way they can use a saw to saw and remove your steerling wheel lock. If you use a steerling wheel lock , , your steerling wheel can be sawn off in less than 1 minute and the lock remove. Just google and watch youtube on how people steal l cars who lock their cars using steering wheel lock. I use this... see pic..

For me I only put in $10k for PI to bid COE for me Thats the minimum. Upon confirmation of COE and approval of car by LTA then got to put in the balance depending on your loan amount. Otherwise you can use your existing car trade in value to offset your downpayment upon COE approval. Isnt this the standard practice for PI ?
