I am a PI. LTA will not inform the end users. LTA will issue notice to all the PIs and it will be the PIs duty to followup and inform all their customers. Thats why i always tell all my customers that I have to serve them for the whole 10 years!!

They act blur, you can follow up with LTA with the information from the manufacturer website and LTA will follow up with the PI and the owner to ensure that the recall is being done.

 

If they close shop and start another one, then you can only suck thumb. But now with the advance of internet, unless they use another person's name to register the new company, you can actually go make a lot of noise with LTA, your MP and also ACRA.

Hi all, i got a bad news from my PI. Last week, he told me can collect car on 20 Apr and go can make payment this weekend. But this week, he told me that LTA is holding the registration of the vezel due to the recent recall and probably can collect end of the month. I am a bit pissed already, he told me COE secured ( Which I checked online, its true) and VITAS checked. 

 

Any potential vezel owners also faced with this issue? when the expected delivery date of the car is mar/apr after signing on the dotted line in jan?

The good news is that Coe already secured in your name so don't think there's any hanky panky n also the holding back by LTA sound legitimate. Guess u have to be patient then.

Alarm bells will only ring if Coe not secured n cock n bull excuse being told, good luck n sit tight!

According to one of the PI, LTA got give some allowance in a way that if the PI can get the owner to sign acknowledgement that he knew about the recall and will send the vehicle back to the PI / Importer to rectify the faulty part when the part is available, the car will be allow to go through VITAS and register. Your PI try to bulls**t you for the delay due to other reasons.

i got my Vezel 3 days ago. why the problems?

I am also not sure if the PI is bulls**tting me. Hence I want to have a sensing in this forum on how many people are affected. Its quite annoying when you have waited for 3 months and towards the end, still got "delay"(contract states delivery in Mar/Apr) in delivery. He called me and explained to me about the delay earlier on, he says LTA takes 1 to 2 weeks for processing.

 

Anyway, does LTA publish this kind of recall on it's web? I can't find it though.

As for recall. A check with my PI in their history they did recalled the "wish" and more recently honda fit last year.

Shouldn't you be happier since you got your car earlier than expected? or u missed your old ride?

 

I am also doing a check in this forum if anyone else face the same situation as me right now. I bought the car from ubi mega car mart during a car carnival in jan when the COE first drop to 45K sgd. A lot of people bought vezel that day, so should have a few unfortunate people like me.

 

And does anyone know if LTA publish such recall news and will put those cars affected on hold for registration?

so far, the information is not listed on LTA website but one of the PI received the letter from LTA and share with one of the Vezel Facebook group and another PI also posted in the group stating that LTA that did signed acknowledgement letter with the owner so that they can proceed with VITAS and so that the owner can collect on time.
