Finally, I have got the car from the dealer. It took 5 months!

What can I say of my everyday impression? It's very good car. I like every single detail.

Before, I drove Nissan Qashkai 2.0 L, 140 bhp and now I have 1.5 L, 130 bhp.

O'key, it's less sporty car, but now I make 15.5 km per liter driving uphill and downhill and before I made 9 km per liter. Makes sense?

More than that, my new Honda HR-V (Vezel) is absolutely comfortable to drive, especially taking in consideration its functionality. Everything made for driver easy use. I really in love with this car.

Hi , does the vezel repair kit comes with car jack ?

Of course - YES!

Question: Honda Vezel - Is it possible to switch off daytime running lights?

Today good mood, so just decide to share my story..

Have been driving a civic hybrid for a few years. So I think I shd be able to make some comments driving a hybrid car.

Firstly yes, they are definitely more fuel economical and gives you a boost during your pickup. Pay lesser road tax for a higher bhp car..I was with Kah motor then.

The problem with battery will always be the charging and discharging cycle. No doubt the technology then was Nickel and now I assume its lithium. every charge and discharge weakens the batteries together with temperature.

For those PI that claim 10 years warranty, true, I would assume they really stand up to its warranty statement. However, do take note they will only warranty it if its real dead, as in totally cant charge and discharge.  My experience with my hybrid ride was that the battery will still be able to charge and discharge, but at a faster rate. a brand new battery say, might last you holding at a traffic light for 10 mins.. Over the course of time, it will slowly decrease to 8..7..6..5..4..3mins. Well, the workshop will still claim that battery is good. Cause there is no fault code.

That was my experience with Kah motor..They keep insisting the battery was fine as there was no fault code. The final statement I gave them was, well, I just go tell every customer that your battery can only last me full capacity from your workshop(Ubi) to TP head quarter and see if anybody will buy.

They finally change out the battery out of good will and I can really feel the difference. That was AD and easier to complain.I was thinking of writing to Jap if they really don't change for me ;)

For those happily driving a hybrid now, the effects can only be seen 2 years down the road..

Just my 2 cents worth.. mine was old technology then, new ones might be better.. If you ask me whether I will buy a hybrid now.. NO!! Unless the technology is proven 10 years down the road to lasts

I'll share a story about hybrid from a top brand... I know someone personally who drives a Lexus LS600h. Toyota was the first with hybrid technology so they should be the most advanced. Like our bro's story above, the battery died after only 5 years. Of course Lexus changed it. But I think it started giving problems again lately. 10 year warranty will be honoured but it isn't the most reliable. By the way, it uses a lithium battery, not the nickel metal hydride type. So do beware before you dabble with hybrid cars.

When you have the brake hold on, isn't the auto start stop engine is disabled? Why need to buy extra device to disable this function?

No, auto start stop is still activated even when the brake hold is on. Must manually press the button to off auto start stop every time u start the engine or set the aircon to the lowest temp. Or get the device to cut off the auto start stop function every time u start the car.

Auto start stop means when you are stopping, the tachometer will drop to zero instead of at 1 right? That is, the car is fully 'stop' with engine stop as well. This will happen when you press on the brake pedal further when the orange indicator light up, am I right?

Yap.. Most likely your friend service his car regularly at AD. For the bros here who buys from PI, even if they really honor the warranty...you would have to go their workshop for your servicing for the full 10 years.. The premium you paid every servicing shd add up to a battery replacement liao

Yes, you describe correctly. With Brake Hold, I normally lift my foot off the brakes when the car is stationary. The electronics brakes are holding the car and the rear brake light remains on. Very useful when waiting on a slope but feel is weird when on flat surface, car does not inch forward when brakes are release (fully or partially).

For auto start stop and with brake hold applied, irritating to me is the instant when the car stop but before I lift off my foot. Engine stops and start again.

Thanks w7_lee for confirming this which means that when the brake hold is on and when you lift up your brake pedal during stop, the engine will start again hence the auto start stop is deactivated.

Btw, you need to press the brake pedal further when the orange indicator came out, like that the engine will not fully come to stop and you won't experience the irritation that you mentioned

Sorry, typo, is *need not press brake pedal further

When you get into the car, without starting engine press the knob on your instrument cluster. The stalk that you use to change between screens.

Than how? Alternate between the colour? I want green to remain and white become red. Possible? Edited by Kopites

Actually, the biggest problem about Vezel is not the power issue (petrol). Its the suspension that is inconsistent and harsh.

The adaptive damper changes according to the road condition/speed but its not too smart. On some days you may feel the suspension feel soft and comfy while mots of the time its hard and harsh.

Hence many has adopted mods like rigid collar and Tein coilovers. Its ironic to say a racing Tein/coilover is more comfortable than the stock strut/spring combination. Unheard of until now.

Wow??? This car has adaptive suspension? Meaning it electronically adjusts the suspension damping according to speed and road conditions...

Sigh ..

I am going to miss my civic ..

Taking it onto the North South highway, it was a stallion, coming into its stride and lapping up the miles with the alacrity of a Jack Terrier playing fetch.

The miles simply melted away as we made swift progress.

I don't know if a 129 bhp vezel can do the same.

Stopped at Yong Peng to change to new Falkens and the ride became less noisy, the grip improved and even the braking distance was shorter.

No doubt I should have changed the tires sooner since my car will reach its tenth year in 2017 but having new slicks on a nice road in a stallion is one of life's simple joys ..

Maybe I should extend the COE..
