inlinesix Hypersonic August 30, 2016 Share August 30, 2016 How DO manufacturers test their vehicles? This site doesn't quite give clear enough information ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_economy_in_automobiles#Fuel_economy_standards_and_testing_procedures Japanese standard might be diff from American or European. No way you can replicate it unless the road is empty. To achieve a lower FC, you need to drive more slowly to utilise more of the electric power. ↡ Advertisement
Splashee 1st Gear August 30, 2016 Share August 30, 2016 Hi all, Im driving vezel hybrid. I find the FC is not very accurate with the spec that they indicate. I only can get around 16.5km per L. I thought it suppose to be like about 18 to 20? Im still running in the engine so I did not high rev, plus moving off slowly when stationary. Will it get better after I done the first 1000Km? Hi, Would you be interested to be part of the vezel hybrid family? We have over 150 owners in our grp. We share hybrid tech, mods and ice. As well as any queries on the hybrid drives. If you are keen, i can help link you up. :)

inlinesix Hypersonic August 30, 2016 Share August 30, 2016 Yes, pls link me up Cheers But is it normal to achieve 16+ km per L? It depends on the distance you drive, traffic load & most importantly, your right foot.

redstuff 4th Gear August 30, 2016 Share August 30, 2016 Japanese standard might be diff from American or European. No way you can replicate it unless the road is empty. To achieve a lower FC, you need to drive more slowly to utilise more of the electric power. From the wiki page, this is how the Europeans "cheat" to report better FC. The major loopholes in the current EU tests allow car manufacturers a number of ‘cheats’ to improve results. Car manufacturers can: Disconnect the alternator, thus no energy is used to recharge the battery; Use special lubricants that are not used in production cars, in order to reduce friction; Turn off all electrical gadgets i.e. Air Con/Radio; Adjust brakes or even disconnect them to reduce friction; Tape up cracks between body panels and windows to reduce air resistance; Remove Wing mirrors.
ER-3682 Supersonic August 30, 2016 Share August 30, 2016 Thanks for the advice. For tire pressure, I follow the recommendation written on the door which is 250PSI, I think. It is significantly higher than the Vios I had before. For "run in", how long is enough? I hate their current radio and entertainment system. There is no way to turn off the radio. You can only mute it. Every time you turn on the engine or switch from reverse back to forward gear, the radio is unmuted by itself. This is really annoying. Also it has this interference issue that until now TEK still cannot resolve for me. Thirdly, the reverse camera is not centered. That means if you follow the camera lines to reverse park, your car will not be at the centre of the lot. After 5,000km,change the oil, agent will tell you no need..do at your own cost. Get a hybrid car will be the most safe bet rite? But when I visit them, to my astonishing their list price in sgcarmart 108k is 6bid without guarantee with bidding cap at 45k (currently 56k), ridiculous rite? Then continue ask what is the guarantee price, 119k
LQY 1st Gear August 30, 2016 Share August 30, 2016 Hmm... I'm not a dealer or related to PI/AD. However, I believed those established PIs is reliable and can be trust. There's too many whom always praise PI to the extend of saying PI and AD share installers locally. While some big PI players keep old stocks. Eg. Some who sign up for a car in July 2016, get car manufactured in Nov 2015 (from the so called big PI) while some get cars that manufacture in May 2016 (from the more trustworthy PI who is not that big) The so call big PI will tell you it's normal and they don't sell ex stock. Old tricks which works very well due to no CASE or authorities stepping in to plug the hole.
therock Supersonic August 31, 2016 Share August 31, 2016 If you want less anxiety, the AD is the way to go.. Borneo and Kah have been quite solid with their bids. At a higher tier, BMW and Merc have also been sterling with their bids..

Noob79 Twincharged August 31, 2016 Share August 31, 2016 Conclusion is whenever u buy a car from PI, make sure you know the car really well... Pricing difference between different PI might be due to the different options that the PI brought in... i learn it the hard way when i purchase a model that was launched only in 2016 and there was only one variant in the market, this car was even advertised as a face-lift version which give people the impression that it is similar to other facelift versions that come with Honda Sensing... Subsequently, i realise that the car does not come with Honda Sensing as compared to the same models that other PI brought in and when i confront the PI, they claim that this was an option... i was very disappointed as i paid a higher premium as compared to other PI to get the car from them and they are one of the more reputable PI... So my two cents worth, even if the PI claims the model they are selling is a face-lift version, please check that the car is inclusive of all things u would expect from a face-lift option...

To be fair, Honda Sensing is indeed an option. When I chose my RS version, HS comes with an addition of 1k. But now I think it will be a white elephant very quickly in our roads.
