The HRV basic DX model has only 5 inch instead of 7 inch infor screen, body rim at wheel area is black different from body colour, no voice control thus less button on the steering wheel. The rest same as LX model.

Actually the main difference for me is the number of airbags.

The other thing is the lack of gear paddles. These plus the local leather make the LX more VFM...

LX is factory leather, DX is local leather.

Your wont want to paddle shift too much on CVT.

5k difference not very worth it for LX actually.

Precisely why the LX is more VFM bro..

I used the paddles, it keeps the ratio low when you need to climb out of a hill or slope. Useful..

My previous car is cvt, never had any problem with slopes even when going up genting.

Cvt is not as lasting as AT and expensive to fix.

So if you intend to drive for long try not to play too much paddle shift with it. Just leave it to its own devices.

Same here. Considered the difference between LX and DX and I felt those additional features were unnecessary for me and hence went for the basic model.

Can't wait to collect it in Nov.

That brings me to my next question: I didn't trade in my current ride because KM didn't offer a good price just my PARF plus a little more (about a few hundred) so anyone got any suggestions? Scrapping in March 2017 and still paying monthly installments on it.

If you collect in Nov, your existing car left 4 months or so; how to get anything more than few hundred above scrap?

You are not too bad off as your car expiry is near. Some 9 year old cars are going for few hundred or at most a thousand above scrap, that one worse off.

You can use your exist car till Mar-2017, and ask KM delivery your new car at Mar-17,

than you will no loss $ on your scrap car

But new Coe start date from when?

Your COE starts from the moment the car is registered. In theory if Kah agrees, it can start from the last day of your old car.

I did that for my FD..

For my new car, I postponed the rego until I come back from a long trip. You have to do some negotiations as it means storage and they may have to sort out the battery, and also prevent the tire from going flat if it's been in storage.
