My 2008 mazda6 (2.5) coming to 190,000km mileage. regular servicing every 10km. still going strong.

any idea if any problems lasting past the 200,000km mark and what to look out for? ie. things that confirm will kaput etc.

Very nice to hear that :)

Mine (same year and model) is only around 90K km now and I'm hoping that it would serve me well for next few years as I'm very happy with it :)

Sorry that I haven't given any constructive input to your query, but I was so excited seeing this post about how long M6 has served you...and continues to do so :)

Hi everyone,

I'm driving a 9.5 years Mazda 6 2.0. I seem to have a problem developing. Often in the mornings (not always) when I start driving the car, the amber 'HOLD' light starts flashing. The car is then unresponsive and acceleration is poor. But the blinking light disappears after some time and the car responds just fine. This never happens in the evenings, even after the vehicle has been stationary for 10 to 12 hours.

Any idea what is the source of this problem and what I should do? With 6 months to go I am obviously looking to avoid major expenses...

Hi,

I am contemplating whether to replace my 06' Mazda 3 for the new Mazda 3 or the 2L Mazda 6.

If Mazda 6 has the same latest technology (e.g digital speedometer from Mazda 3), I would have go for it as I prefer a more spacious and higher hp car.

The concerns of mazda 6 2L is the spaciousness/legroom might be insignficant better than Mazda3. Mazda 3 backrow centre hump seen lower which is another bonus.

If the spaciousness and hp of 2L Mazda 6 is insignificant, I will rather stick to the cheaper and newer Mazda 3.

Can anyone give some advise?

Thanks

I tried both 3 and 6 as both drivers and passengers, 6 definitely has significantly more legroom in rear compared to 3, headroom is about the same though.

2.5 model, average 12km/L... [thumbsup] 60% Highway,40% city driving based on average 2-3 persons on board.

That is nice, considering my 2008 M6 giving me 9kmpl for very similar driving :D

Any idea how the new M6 2.5 compares to the likes of Camry or Accord in way of FC?

Neutral Newbie

I think the new models that have Skyactiv very good on fuel consumption unlike the old models, Besides Subaru, i think Mazda has 1 of the worse fuel consumption among all Japanese cars. I must say this Mazda has a very good build and it's the only Japanese car that have Continentals feel and thank god they have finally solved the bad fuel consumption problem with Skyactiv.

Actually i wouldn't say that. Speaking as a owner of a 07 Mazda 3SP, the car is still giving me an average of 12km/l. It all depends on your right foot.
