Booked Vezel Hybrid 1 bid guaranteed for this round COE. Ended up PI initial bid was 56350, they did not managed to increase the bid in time. 

Next round is 3 weeks later instead of the usual 2 weeks interval which means extra 1 week buyers for the COE. Then got car show and lowering of COE quota next round. Starting to get worry of my PI already.

Ended up 60 bucks short of Cat B COE at 56410. So near yet so far =/

Why PI didn't go all way out, since it's a 1 bid guarantee deal.

No matter how much they bid for you , should jus need to pay for the closing price.

Should jitao hoot $60k bid.

Also since COE deposit is $10k if I remember.

Personally I prefer buttons. Easier to use on the fly.

When you are driving, you can use the steering wheel, but buttons are not a bad thing..

Agree you can pick a nice Pioneer one for vezel.

Hrv DX one looks dated.

But then well we buy the car for the drive and not the head unit.

Many thanks Smurff and 7hm... appreciate deeply. In fact there are 2 more questions.

1. HU has an option to update screen wallpaper. Anyone successfully install it and how?

2. Can't seem to locate the gear shift button to unlock gear box. This is useful in the event when the car is stalled.

 

Tried to upload pictures but failed.. would start a chat group for technical support/sharing and legal modification. Those keen can PM.

I own a DX and managed to change the wallpaper but only after googling for a while on how to do it.

 

The 5" display seems like an ancient model, not sure about the 7" ones.

 

Images 'seems' to require a size of 1920x936 pixels or smaller. File size have to be small as well below 200kb. Accepts jpg or bmp.

 

Put images on root directory of thumbdrive and plug in usb port of car. Then navigate on head unit setting to change. It can store only 3 images at a time.
