Maybe it triggered the security system of the car that prevent the engine to start.

 

Some months ago, I unlocked the car so that my son can go inside the car while I was some distance away.

My son tried to on the radio but unable to do so. I think he did something behind my back. Maybe pressing the engine start button.

 

When I came back and tried to start the car. The meter clusters are activated as usual but no engine sound. (Engine can't start) Locked & Unlocked, still the same. Called the mechanic and he advised to remove the key from the remote and open the car door and press the engine start. Problem still existed.

 

While waiting for my mechanic to come, I did not try anything further.

20 mins later, the mechanic came and he can just start the car as normal !

 

I think the car security system detected some abnormal and prevent the car engine to start.

And it needs a reset period so that you can start the car as normal.

It's a severe bump, so you may need like a 'senior consultant surgeon' type to check. Not just plugging in a PC into the diagnostic port, but someone who will open up the car, check each line and fuse and PC board.. sorry but that's my non-pro guess.

Any bros driven the Vezel S model before? Is there really a difference between the S & X?

 

From what I read online, the S model has a few more features; i.e. paddle shifters, 17" rims, rear aircon. I did not manage to get a good look that time when I went to see the S model because it was parked in the building's garage and not displayed in the showroom.
But when I see the used Vezel S models sold here, it doesn't seem to have the extra features as claimed.

Maybe , your can call Kah Motor for assistance or advise as they are the authorised dealer and SME for Honda cars.

Yes, I suspect it's not something for a simple workshop job.. I wonder if a PC board somewhere or a cable was damaged..

If you still want to try.. I vaguely remember my SE told me.. If car cannot start..

Use your remote, locate the Honda logo 'H' and put it touching the start button.. Some light will flash for x secs.

Within this x secs, press to start the engine.

When my car can't start or gearbox get jam , I remove the small black plastic coverjust above the gear box lettering (P ,N ,D , .. ) insert the key into the hole. Try this ... not sure it is a hidden reset button there that will cause the start of yr engine. You need to take a sharp instrument to pry the small black plastic cover to get ascess to it.. Good luck

Hi there any Bros encountered a problem like mine?

 

Someone crashed into my left rear, two left rear doors was affected and front wheel flew off.

Car electronics still able to start but cannot release handbrake. Buttons totally not working, can not change gears to P/N/R

Basically engine cannot start but electronics still working

 

Anyone know the problem? Please advise

Ur workshop is lousy. Pls contact insurance company to tow to next authorised workshop. You are definitely taken for a ride. Bare in mind Vezel is 70% a Jazz...not some rocket science car or conti.

If cannot find a good Mechanic there are several workshop recommended in FB group. If you are not liable...u can pay 1st and repair at ur choice workshop and claim against other driver. But u may not get 100% back and ling time.

Anyway a good workshop can handle for you all the way. Basically u just sign they undertake on ur behalf.
