misterfajar Neutral Newbie October 20, 2016 Share October 20, 2016 Hi All, I just traded in my 2010 Peugeot 5008 for 2016 HRV DX 2 days ago. HRV more responsive (feels lighter) than Peugeot (slight hesitation) especially up slope on highway flyovers. On paint protection, anyone can advise if it is really necessary to get glass coating paint protection? ↡ Advertisement
Snef Neutral Newbie October 20, 2016 Share October 20, 2016 I own a DX and managed to change the wallpaper but only after googling for a while on how to do it. The 5" display seems like an ancient model, not sure about the 7" ones. Images 'seems' to require a size of 1920x936 pixels or smaller. File size have to be small as well below 200kb. Accepts jpg or bmp. Put images on root directory of thumbdrive and plug in usb port of car. Then navigate on head unit setting to change. It can store only 3 images at a time. Hope this helps. Many thanks and appreciate. Sounds complicated and shall try..

On paint protection, anyone can advise if it is really necessary to get glass coating paint protection? Hi bro IMHO, it's a small expense to protect our 6 digit investment, so it's pretty worth it. Maybe you can get your sales rep to throw it in or at least do it before you collect the car?

Glass coating protection or PPS or nano sealant or whatever they wanna call it is never "necessary", but it is generally accepted as making care of the car's paintwork much, much easier. 7hm Turbocharged October 20, 2016 Share October 20, 2016 The 7" HU looks so much better in place. Btw does it do mirroring for iPhones too? HondaLink has always done more for iPhones than Android. I know it supports navigation via iOS as well as Siri control.

TheInsaneOne Neutral Newbie October 20, 2016 Share October 20, 2016 I just read like few hundred pages of the Vezel but still hard to understand the difference. I'll like to know what's the difference between the Vezel (G) Vs the Vezel (X) models. The rest I know is just about trims like X > S > Z > RS. any fellow Bros bought a Hybrid recently? What's the average calling price of this models. All advice is deeply appreciated.

No LED headlights, no sports rims & urethane steering wheel. X grade = mid tier model. LED headlights, 16" sports rims & leather wrapped steering wheel. RS grade = Top tier model. include X grade equipment plus front bumper lip & side skirt & 18" sports rims. Rest of the grades is history (Got cut off). ulysses84 1st Gear October 21, 2016 Share October 21, 2016 Booked Vezel Hybrid 1 bid guaranteed for this round COE. Ended up PI initial bid was 56350, they did not managed to increase the bid in time. Next round is 3 weeks later instead of the usual 2 weeks interval which means extra 1 week buyers for the COE. Then got car show and lowering of COE quota next round. Starting to get worry of my PI already. Ended up 60 bucks short of Cat B COE at 56410. So near yet so far =/ Unlucky u... i got mine for Vezel hybrid (RS) already in the Oct 2nd round. PI bid $60K, heng ah~ ↡ Advertisement
