I am getting avg 17.5km/l for my A3 which is higher than the evaluated figure of 16.2 and much lower than 20.4 factory claimed.

 

So your assertion can be true also. I think the figures in the table should be used as an indication for relative comparison.

 

I think that website uses software simulation using technical info provided by the manufacturers to arrive at the figures. They claimed evaluated values are pretty close to reality (after doing simulations for over 250000 car models)

Wow. 17.5 is considered good as that is better than <20% of the claimed fc. A3 has an amazing drive.

Yes, my biggest downside to the car is the compartment space! even putting folded papers also must think where to put..

 

I hope Nets would start implementing cashless payment for public carpark entry, that would help to get rid of the coupon and save some space...

 

The CTBA system was really rough when it got activated at one of the gantry today, the whole car shook like there was a sudden earthquake.

Just share some comparison performance data of Vezel/HRV against some other entry-level models (that are available in Singapore) for those who may be interested (not flaming here)

HR-V with 128 bhp are the Euro speced models.. same L15B earth dreams engine as the Vezel...whereas the HR-V we get in SG is the thai made version designed for the asian market, using the older L15A7 engine from the previous gen Jazz/fit

Normal gantries i slow down already..

I really suggest you to get used to it on how to avoid the CTBA from kicking in.

 

When approaching upslope gantry, do a complete stop. do not creep in slowly approaching the gantry. try it.

 

I have heard quite a few of my FB group friends, was lucky due to CTBA helped them to avoid a small accident.

 

You never know when you need it..

Thanks a lot for the clarification.  I am not too familiar with HRV sold here and website where the data is from is mostly for European/US models (a lot which not really applicable to Singapore).  In this case HRV and Vezel in the table are most probably the same.

 

Anyway, the website is still compiling data for other models alphabetically (current at N).  I think what readers here are more interested to look at is other cross-over like QQ/Forester/XV etc which are not yet available.  btw: I only fished out those models (that are available in Singapore) that most of us working class can afford.

Yes. you can go to any accessory workshop.

 

But i did mine at Edwin SG Garage. (again i have no vested interest with them)

Been happy with their work. no nonsense. no pressure selling. they treat you with respect be it big or small job.

Since they have installed so many Vezel accessories, it best to go there as the more installations they do, they know how best to install your Vezel accessories.

 

If you go to workshop without experience, they need to figure out first on how to install. Of course anyone can install but that may not be the best way to install them. 

 

Edwin's workmanship is top notch.

 

As in any product (we bought a lot from online) there are bound to have defective ones. SG garage have no problems to deal with such stuff. The important thing is good installation.

 

Dont listen to me but check it out for yourself and evaluate. But i can guarantee you - you will not regret.

I put up with the occasional irritation for about 2 weeks but decided to turn it off after 2 incidents. 

 

1st incident was at an up slope gantry. It kick in as the barricade starts to lift and I step on the gas. Car roll backwards and I was lucky that no car were behind mine at that time. 

 

2nd incident was when I was trying to overtake a bus. As I turn and step on the gas to filter to the right, the CTBA detects the bus in front and cut my gas.

 

In my opinion, the system is not intelligent enough for practical application. 

For me CTBA is off the moment i turn on engine

 

 

For me is CTBA and start/stop ignition.
