Neutral Newbie

Hi all,

I just got a vezel x white at 108,588 guaranteed coe. Is this a kenna tock price??? Need your feedback asap so i can do proper recourse if required. Thanks for your help!

I got my vezel x white ard around $110k 2 weeks ago. I commit my deal after comparing 8 PI(s). Haha u can say I am typical singaporean, kiasu and kiasi lol after comparing the minimum loan must take up from PI, what freebie they include, etc.. I think that there real price diff maybe about 1-2k diff.

I also came to notice this but I might be wrong. Those bigger and reputable PI company charge slightly higher. I decided to commit to the 110k deal coz this PI has own workshop and the company been around for over 40 yrs. Some PI when I ask in detail abt the warranty and servicing then I get the real ans is that some provide free servicing as in free labour charge only. Some free 1 time servicing and the warranty is diff.

Some might feel it's not a big deal no free servicing as the 1-2k diff can last them quite awhile for many servicing. I also do believe finding a PI u trust and reputable is better than to go for the cheapest as everyone is so cautious when dealing with PI. Some PI give u good price and 1-3 bid Coe but they don't have the car to deliver, u will have to wait too. I also encounter some PI tat rush me into signing the deal as they told me they can get the Coe bid faster so they charge higher, those with 6 bid PI have time to play ard the Coe pricing should charge lower. All kind of theory.. I am also confused by all this too lol

This is my first time buying from PI too. This is what I gather and feel from the experience so far. I have not collect my car yet. I hope my reputable PI don't fail me. I feel the wait is a little Long thou. Today the Coe drop makes me feel heart pain on the price I commit but then who knows when is the right time to commit into a car deal right? I wait for awhile past few month, drop rise drop rise.. So I just say forget it, just commit else the car takes longer to deliver after I decided.. Lol

If you go to onemotoring website... The actual cost of the  Vezel for November  is given by LTA. Add the COE for that month.. and you know  how much they make. However you need to understand these companies need survive ... the need  to pay staff, rentals ,  utilities , storage cost  , warranty and all incidentals that comes with the car.. Each car the have to make about at least  $10K. to cover their cost .

The extras they make through COE system... the lower the COE .. the  higher their  margin.. The higher the COE.. the lower their margin..

Hi Bros, just a quick check with you.  Having booked the car in early September, I am about have my Vezel X delivered soon.  Several weeks back, my PI provided me the car chassis number upon my request, with the delivery date confirmed by end Dec 15.

As the time is drawing near, the accessories, solar films etc will be fitted soon, including registration etc.  But just today, I got a call from the PI telling me that my chassis number has changed.  Is this the norm?  When queried, he replied that is because the original chassis number (car) cannot make the scheduled delivery time so soon although these two cars are already on-site and scheduled to go for inspection at Vicom.  He claims they are from the same batch of JDM cars.

Any inputs here will be clearly appreciated.

Thanks!

I have to wait 2 months for my new car.. My experience with my PI was this.. Once car approved for inspection by LTA, PI  SMS the Car Chasis and Engine number.. PI then ask me to get the cover note from my insurance company 1 week before COE bidding.  PI then bid for the COE with assurance that  PI will confirm get COE at the next bidding. I follwed their instructions and my experince with them has been good. I was fortunate to have the owner family members serving me rather then a sales person..

Yup, per Nov figures, cost to PI for car is about 35k.

Anyway, for guaranteed coes, is it common that they do not put in rebates? I am very worried that coe will drop and drop.

3m thinsulate.

Acoustics treatment for you audio

You will be surprise by how Stock speaker can sound so good.

Now promo- first five will have a promo rate of $150

Usual rate - $ 190

3M insulation works like damping material to prevent sound waves from boucing all over especially against vibrating metal of door that create more distortion. Sound will be clearer, louder without more volume cos you hear less distortion wtc

Hi peeps,

I done my homework too. I'm only looking at stock option which means delivery in about a month.

Anyone bought from Zion Auto? Their prices are cheaper by 6-7k compared to Prime and Cartimes.

When prices are so cheap it makes me worried. All promise guaranteed coe, no top-up, collection end Jan.

Different quotations come to mind:

"You get what you pay for"

"If it is too good to be true, then it probably is"

Or they are taking a gamble that COE will come down further for them to still make a reasonable profit.

Or the specs of the cars (including the freebies) are not exactly the same to do such apple to apple comparison.

Or they spend very much less on after sales service and so "you get what you pay for" there - e.g. Cartimes warranty is via Tan Chong (the AD for Nissan) so you do not need to worry that Cartimes disappear and you are stuck if there is manufacturing defect with your car during the warranty period.  This probably cost some money to Cartimes to arrange.

$6K-$7K compared to the rest, i doubt can get delivery in a month.

You would have a better chance to get it in one month from Hup Long rather than CarTimes.

go check out Store Hub Toa Payoh, there are about 50 Vezels waiting.

Good Luck bro.

Wow! Thanks, U guys r informative!

Googled and seems that Z*** A*** looks quite ok. I was really quite swayed to take the leap of faith for that 6-7k.

Hup Long prices are good but Apr delivery.

When it comes to warranty, guess that's where the bucks are.

Pay for piece of mind too. Now it's time to put negotiation skills to the test!

From your suggestions and comments, it's likely I should be going for more reputable ones at higher price.

Btw, is 2.78% the norm? Most quoted me at 2.78 which is very high. I see some advertise at 1.99%.

I asked and dealers say for low interest, they are floating rates. Sounds like buying a house! Aren't it's supposed to be flat rate? *scratch head*

Could u please share some insights?

COE is a function of demand and supply which is largely controlled by transport policeis If COE drop by big margin , then those who bought the cars at a higher COEs may fin it worth their while to scrap their car.

Personally I dont thnk COE will drop below $50K , unless we end up with a recession and also the major economies.

Dont forget , COES is a very lucrative multi billionaire revenue business  and what they give you is a piece of paper... lol

I watched the channel 8 show that day and the Mr Raymond Tang (1st vice president of the Singapore Vehicle Traders Association) said that he expects the COE to drop to 40k the lowest and the lowest price of COE will be end of 2016 to early 2017.

A bit sad. I saw ppl posting aug only 104988 or smt with more freebies. I not sure if market went up or i just got a very bad deal.

Aiyah, dont worry lah.

Make you feel batter, i paid $110,800 waited 2+ months for delivery and all i got was full leather seats.

But i do enjoy the different soft easy drive of a Vezel with decent cabin space compared to my hard, loud, heavy powerful drive of my other car.

So whats there to be sad?

If you dont have a car even, maybe you will be sad
