  1. Need advice. This morning when I turn on the car radio, the HU power on/off switch jam (the button sinked inside), can only turn it off by using the remote control. Will the HU still drawing power from the car battery when parked in the car park? I worry that the bettery may die up if the HU is still drawing power from it.

  4. Bad day today... Early morning, on CTE towards City.... on most left lane, this auntie in dunno bm or merz coming out of slip road of AMK filtered in without signalling and giving way when i was going straight... i had to swayed a little towards the right n jammed brake, thankfully no car... it shocked the hell out of my friend... Afterwhich, evening from PIE going into BKE from Jurong, nearly got bang by this Cherry accelerated and filtered into Lane 2 from Lane 3 when i was almost halfway done filtering from Lane 1... had to jam brake again Last woman... a Toyota Wish, jammed brake at traffic light when it was still green, it hit yellow the moment the car stop... and when the car stop, the rear was just after the stop line, luckili i was at least a car length behind or would have hit its back.... Last was a male driver, parked his car just behind me, blocking my only way out and went to buy bubble tea.. his passenger was in the car.... i hope these ppl would have at least the courtesy to have the passenger go buy and driver in car to at least move the car if the blocked car driver came back... waste my time honking! I juz had to remove my camera last nite and forgot to put it back... grrrr...... Just ranting......
  5. Read a tragic accident resulted from a jammed accelerator. Toyota/Lexus probably in deep trouble now... http://www.asiaone.com/Motoring/News/Story...205-196840.html If ever your accelerator jammed: - slammed on your brakes (there will be alot of smoke) - stay calm - put gear into Neutral (RPM will surge) - turn off ignition drive safe...
  6. Hi as above! Bros and sis who frequent Msia please help! Thanks!
  7. What's up at Kallang? Every evening when I go home, I always encounter a heavy or massive jam on the PIE. The sign says "heavy/massive jam until Kallang". What's up at Kallang that causes the bottleneck?
  8. I skip my lunch to do some shopping at Autobac and whilst on the way back travelling along Upp Bukit Timah Road to turn left to PIE just before Anak Bukit flyover. There is a EMS tow truck & a TP WRX blocking the entrance into the slip road toward PIE. They are diverting all traffic towards Clementi Road. Don't know what the reason for closing the slip road. (Any MCF members who pass by the area could unlighten us what had happen) With that closing, there is a jammed starting from the traffic light junction of Clementi Road and Dunearn Road till Upper Bukit Timah Road (behind Beauty World). Turning left to Dunearn Road, caught in another jam which started from Turf City entrance (due to a 10 wheeler lorry breakdown) to Binjal Park. Passing, Turf City and proceed down toward Whitley Road to exit to PIE but caught in another jam from Whitley Road junction Steven Road till Khiam Hock Road. The stretch of Steven Road is complete jammed up to Henderson Road. (Reason unknown) What a day ? Anyway, whilst caught in the jammed for the past 45 minutes, nothing heard from radio of the road closure (Anak Bukit), jammed along Dunearn Road and also Steven Road. I was hoping that radio would anouce to warn drivers to avoid those road but nothing heard. Why do we have to pay radio licence when such useful information is not pass to the listeners. Only received anouncement of raining, lowerst & highest temp for the day and blah, blah, blah.... Something is very wrong here and need to be checked.
  9. tt day as i was driving.. i realise my gear got stuck @ 5th.. need to give it a nice hard thug before i can move it back to neutral.. i stopped by the side of the road and played with the gearshift.. again, it gets stuck @ 5th gear.. what can be causing this? how to solve this problem? must open up the gearbox?
  10. I have been having this problem quite often. After warming up my car in the morning, when I engage forward gear and release the hand brake, the car does not move forward. When I accelerate it, the car drags itself forward (tire marking on the floor). I noticed the rear left wheel is jammed and not turning at all. Same if I try to reverse the car. What I do is to pull and release the handbrake a couple of times. It works though not instantly. I was told by my mechanics that when I wash my car - wheels the day before, water went into the handbrake cable. It got rusty over night. Remedy: do not wash the car with the hand brake engaged. Do not park the car with the handbrake on. Just engage the gear in P (parking). Is this THE Solution? Any suggestion? Thanks.
