  1. Last week, the viral Bentley driver incident made us wonder about the association between rich people and their obnoxious behaviour. This week, we get a Mercedes driver who possesses similar obnoxious qualities. Watch the video here: What Happened? This road rage-induced incident occurred in the vicinity of private estates at Kovan Road. A Mercedes driver who wanted to turn right into an apartment estate took a grudge against an Audi driver who was going straight and had the right of way. As the Mercedes driver started filling with rage, he alighted from his car to confront the Audi driver while impeding its way. The Mercedes driver started shouting and gesturing wildly to the Audi driver while not wearing any face mask. It can be observed that the Audi driver had wound down the window, most likely to respond to the Mercedes driver's confrontation. Just then, the Mercedes driver took a few steps back as matters seemed to cool down. At the next moment, the Mercedes driver took a gradual leap forward and landed a 'flying punch' right in the Audi driver's face before walking away. NGL, the Audi driver deserves mad respect for doing the right thing by keeping his cool and not retaliating. Living Under A Rock Do you know what grinds my gears? Someone's audacity to think they can get away with it after committing a blatant, unlawful act. The Mercedes driver must be thinking that he still lives in the 1960s when he was 'young and dangerous', before the existence of technology. Well, jokes on him - With the existence of dashcams and social media, his unlawful act will not go unnoticed. Netizens' Comments Tell me about it. Do you know how many videos I have come across that had no head or tail??? Was this what people did back in the day when the yellow box was non-existent? LOL. Two people perished in the blaze and five other people were injured. The two dead victims were the wife of the house owner, who is a businessman, and a middle-aged Caucasian man, who was a business partner with the latter. Five others, including two men, two women and a child were sent to hospital for smoke inhalation. The fire was believed to have been caused by a short circuit, which led to an electrical appliance in the house catching fire. At the time of the fire, there were six people on the second storey of the house, including two children, aged 10 and 8. The house owner, his son, daughter-in-law and an older grandson managed to escape the fire. His younger grandson, who was with a maid at the back of the house, was saved when she jumped through a window to escape. The house owner's wife was found in a toilet on the second floor, while the male victim was found on the second floor. Two other occupants, the house owner's 80-year-old father and another maid, were on the first floor at the time of the fire. They managed to get out with help from firemen. In a statement, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the fire at about 3am at No 6A, Parry Avenue off Yio Chu Kang Road. SCDF dispatched three fire engines, three ambulances, three Red Rhino and six support vehicles. Upon their arrival, they found the fire had engulfed the whole house and had penetrated through the roof. SCDF officers used four water jets to penetrate the burning house, while two additional jets were also deployed to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent unit. The fire was brought under control within half an hour, and was fully extinguished at about 4.30am. Photo Gallery: 2 dead, 5 injured in fire at house near Kovan Click on thumbnail to view photos. 5. An early afternoon downpour left the area in front of Heartland Mall in Kovan flooded with rainwater. STOMPer wallace tan commented: "There was a flood outside Heartland Mall's entrance. "This picture was taken outside Heartland Mall at about 12.15pm on Apr 20. "The water was about 15cm deep in places, but people were still going about their business there. "Thankfully the water wasn't deep enough to flood the shops there."
  6. Just encountered an brainless driver bout half hour ago on the way home. Was going up the flyover after Potong Pasir towards Kovan. Was on the right of a 2 lane road going up the flyover. This Vios was tailgating me up the bridge, i was blocked by a cab so i got no choice but to just follow behind, as the cab was also not able to give way to me due to the traffic on the left. Credit to the cab who was in front of me, he gave way immediately when the left is clear. I proceed to accelerate hard and gain some space from the Vios who has been tailgating me. I then proceed to keep left. Short moment later, this vios came fast and attempted to side swipe me when i am already in the left lane. I managed to catch a short glimspe of the couple in the vehicle towards the end of the flyover when all vehicles are slowing down. Young guy with long sleeve shirt, lady on the passenger seat was giggling. Maybe they found what they did funny? or maybe its their own unrelated joke.. i dunno. My question is, i did not do anything to offend the driver, i did not road hog and i drive a small stock saloon. So why did this driver try to play punk?.. to impress? Really cannot understand..
  7. What a bad friday morning. Ok here is what happened. As per usual route > heading to Boon Keng via the road in front of Serangoon JC to Kovan then to fly-over then all the way to Boon Keng. This is a long straight road. I reach Serangoon JC at about 7.00am. Traffic came to a crawl which was un-usual as i left home earlier today and at this timing traffic should be rather smooth. In the end i only managed to pass the Shell after Kovan at 7.30am. And the thing that pissed me off was there was road works in progress right in front of Shell which caused the center lane to be not accessible. I think this is very bad. I think LTA knew this route was a heavy traffic route in the early peak hours cos the fly-over was built in order to ease the traffic conditions. How can they even allow the road works to continue when the morning peak hours start? What the point of building something to ease traffic conditions when you going to approve another activity that is going to create jams? Dont they even care about affecting the daily commuters that use that road every morning to either get to school or to work. It just sounds ridiculous to me. To all the bros who were struck in this meaningless jam. I will be sending an email to LTA on this damn road work thing.
