Their reply was classic but the entries AFTER was lagi classic Nikon's FB post goes viral due to photoshopped winning entry Nikon Singapore has gotten plenty of flak online after naming an allegedly badly-photoshopped photograph as a prize-winning shot on its official Facebook page on Jan 29, 2016. Screengrab: Nikon Singapore/Facebook Prize winner has apologised for his mistake, claiming it was a 'joke' BY WONG CASANDRA [email protected] PUBLISHED: 7:34 PM, JANUARY 30, 2016 UPDATED: 9:18 PM, JANUARY 31, 2016 SINGAPORE — A post on Nikon Singapore's Facebook page has gone viral with over 25,000 likes, close to 19,000 shares and 4,000 replies — but for all the wrong reasons. In the post —which has since been deleted —, the camera maker had awarded Mr Chay You Wei a Nikon trolley bag worth S$169 for being this week's NikonCaptures winner. He had submitted a black and white photo of an aeroplane flying overhead framed by a ladder, one which many netizens have pointed out to be a badly-photoshopped image.

Any brothers or sisters here know where or which shop has the best deal for a Nikon D3100 with kit lens?
  7. I am considering buying a DSLR and I am stuck between D5000 and E550. Anyone can give some pointers about your preference?
  8. I know I'll get better reponse from clubsnap, but I'm trying my luck here cos MCF is my homeground. I'm looking at getting a flash (SB600) for my Nikon D300 and I was quoted as followed. SB600 - $385 from MS (CS states $335 as the lowest).... The boss also quoted me a compatible flash, Sunpak PZ42X at $210. Question: Should I get the Sunpak flash? Have anyone of you uses this flash before, any feedback? Or should I stick to SB600?

    Nikon D90

Noticed a TV advert on Nikon D90 Camera. Have been thinking of investing on a good one but lacking of advise. Any bros have any view on this camera or any recommendation? I'm new in cameras and photography.
  10. The introduction of Nikon's new D700 may been one of the worst kept secrets in an industry with more leaks than the Titanic, but it was still something of a surprise coming so hot on the heels of the D3 and D300. Essentially a D3 shrunk down and squeezed into a body roughly the same size as a D300, the D700 is Nikon's first 'compact' professional SLR, and seems designed to go head-to-head with whatever Canon has up its inscrutable sleeve to replace the EOS 5D. The imaging side of the D700 is pretty much the same as the D3; it shares the acclaimed 12.1MP full frame ('FX') sensor and has the same processing engine, so we would presume output to be almost identical. The main differences (aside from being considerably smaller) are physical; there's a different shutter (good for 150,000 exposures rather than 300,000 on the D3), different viewfinder prism (with 95% coverage) and a slower burst rate. You also lose the rear LCD info panel (there's no room for it) and one of the D3's two CF card slots, but you do get a couple of extra features to soften the blow slightly; most notably a self-cleaning sensor and a built-in flash. We'll look a little more in-depth at the differences between the D3 and D700 in a moment. The D700 joins the D3 as a fully-fledged 'professional' model; it has the same tank-like build quality (though we're sure the pop-up flash will cause a few raised eyebrows), and gets you the full pro service from Nikon. And the pricing (around $2999) reflects this; anyone hoping for an 'affordable' semi-pro full frame Nikon SLR will have to wait until the cost of producing such large sensors falls considerably. 11. Guys, i need some honest opinions here. I have been using a Nikon F100 SLR for many years and would be getting myself a digital one over the weekend at the IT fair but I am at a lost. I have a budget of not more than $3K to buy a complete set of digital SLR, which means body plus lens and digital flash and perhaps a higher capacity memory card. Basing on the $3K budget and knowing that the fair should offer some discount, which NIKON model should I get? I am clueless as to what the camera technology can offer today and a search on the Nikon web is making me see stars. Thanks you guys in advance.
