  4. Hi, anyone can advise? I do not want to fix tinted solar film, but just want clear film for all window and rear sceen. These film should be good enough to hold on to the glass when it is broken, for both security as well as accidents. Any good clear film to recommend, eg. those that will not bubble or have reflection? How much should I be expecting to pay? Thanks.
  5. ST 5/5/2007 I REFER to Mr Lau Kim Lon's letter, 'Should LCD monitors be on dashboards?' (ST, April 21), where he shared his concern about drivers being distracted by monitors installed on dashboards. The Land Transport Authority (LTA) allows the installation of Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screens of in-vehicle information and communication systems in a vehicle so long as it does not affect safety. The screen should display only information for the purpose of navigation and the text should be large enough for the driver to read at a glance. Such systems should also have a voice-guidance feature that minimises the driver's interaction with the visual display unit. Nevertheless, drivers are advised to use the system only when it is safe to do so. LTA also allows the installation of LCD screens of in-vehicle entertainment systems, such as VCD/DVD systems, in a vehicle but the screen must be positioned such that the driver is not able to view it, for example, at the back seat. If the screen is fitted within the driver's view, it should have a safety feature that would turn off the screen automatically when the vehicle is moving. The in-vehicle systems should not interfere with existing vehicle controls or instrumentation, and the electrical system should be adequately protected against fire hazards. Installation of additional in-vehicle systems must be carried out by qualified personnel according to the system manufacturer's recommendations. The requirements regarding the installation of LCD monitors in vehicles are available at our one.motoring website at www.onemotoring.com.sg - Vehicle Modification and Information - Modifications Allowed - In-Vehicle Entertainment Systems - In-Vehicle Information and Communication Systems.
  6. Been thinking of getting a LCD Screen for my car..but both my decks are in use currently, so thought of getting one mounted on the dash board... But heard from some folks that LTA dun approve of screens in car? Distraction? Just wondering.... if its better to get those in dash screens instead so that can close if stopped by authorities
  7. Yesterday 26 March 2005. 39 Rav4 from Rav4 Expedition were convoy to JB national park for a semi-offroad event. When we arrived there, some of my follow R4E's members come to question me why my front screen is so clean & clear? At first I duno what they mean but after I went to see their rides and I found out all of their front screen were so dirty with full of dust & mud. They asked me what did I applied, any RainX, Glass Treatment....etc. For what I know I only apply the Klasse AIO on all the window screens and it was 4 weeks before. So I believed this is the effect of the Klasse AIO and I proof it can help your Screen keep the dust away. For those Klasse Users please do try to AIO your Screen. MarcosTan Toyota Rav4
