  1. Cheers to Mr. Jonathan for going viral Cheers to your dream come true Cheers to the start of your new career as a TikToker Cheers for making a fool of yourself in a series of 5 videos Cheers to Cheers Singapore for not defending Mr TikToker Jonathan. On a side note, I scrolled through his TikTok account and found many SPF-related videos, most of which portraying SPF in a negative light. It's no surprise he jumped on the occasion to create a scene with our police force when the opportunity arose. Looks to be anti-Singapore Police Force/Anti-Government/PAP lol. For your midweek entertainment. Cheers to the first joker of 2023!

  3. As COE's make the affordability of cars out of reach to those who are just able to afford one, we can look foward lesser cars and road rage incidents on the road afterall the majority of reckless drivers are those jap/korean cars who always drive like they have something to prove to compensate for their lack of (insert word here) in life. more often than not when someone horns its these impatient people, you never see those large german sedans horning impatiently at you while you cross the road or if you move off too slowly do you discuss.

  5. Priced at about US$2,500 (S$3,400), the Nano will cost about half the price of the cheapest car on the market, affordable for many in India - and elsewhere. But some environmentalists are dreading the prospect of hundreds of thousands of cheap cars hitting congested roads around the world in the next few years. 'In the current policy and regulatory framework, the low-cost cars will be disastrous,' said Ms Anumita Roychowdhury, associate director of the Centre for Science and Environment in New Delhi. Carmakers, warily eyeing sliding sales in developed markets such as the United States and Europe, disagree. They argue that small, fuel-efficient vehicles are a greener option than gas-guzzling SUVs and larger cars as the price of oil soars above US$130 a barrel and as more and more consumers in emerging economies such as China, India and Russia get behind the steering wheel. Tata Motors, which unveiled the snub-nosed Nano in January, says the world's cheapest car meets the strictest environmental criteria, and its lean design delivers high fuel-efficiency of about 20km per litre of petrol. 'The concern is really about the sheer numbers,' said Mr Mohit Arora, managing director for India at JD Power Asia Pacific. 'They may be more fuel-efficient than bigger cars, but they will still emit carbon and NOx (nitrogen oxide)...and that's a valid concern.' With the explosive growth in demand for cars, carmakers will have to return to the drawing board. 'Over the next five to 10 years, technology, moral pressure, regulatory pressure and high oil prices will push even premium carmakers into making changes to their engines,' said Mr Steve Howard, chief executive of The Climate Group in Britain. Rival carmakers, including Fiat, General Motors, Ford Motor, Hyundai and Toyota, are all interested in building a small car that is affordable to more middle-class consumers in emerging markets. 'Growth is in the emerging markets, and the bulk of demand there is for small cars because people are much more sensitive to fuel prices,' said Mr Arora. Still, Mr Howard cautioned against demonising low-cost cars or belittling their importance in emerging economies such as India, despite concerns about their impact. 'It's easy to look at cheap mass-produced cars and say, 'Oh, they're going to cause more pollution'. But it's an elitist view that only a small percentage of the population should own cars.' 6. April 9, 2008 Teen given 12-month probation for abusing teacher By Elena Chong, Court Correspondent A YOUTH who swore at his teacher for confiscating his MP3 player in class was placed on 12 months' probation on Wednesday. Jeremy Tan Wei Liang, who turned 18 last week, will have to do 60 hours of community service and attend counselling sessions to address his anger management problem. His mother was bonded for $2,000 to ensure his good behaviour. Tan, who is working as a temporary construction worker, pleaded guilty earlier in January to using abusive words on a teacher with intent to cause her distress on April 26 last year. Tan's classmate was caught listening to music during class that day and the teacher promptly confiscated the player which belonged to Tan. Tan then confronted the teacher, who refused to return the MP3 player to him. He then used his finger to point at her nose and scolded her. He even went through her bag to search for it and continued hurling abusive words and vulgarities in Hokkien at her. Community Court judge May Mesenas told Tan to change his abusive behaviour. 'I hope this will be a lesson learnt for you,' she told him. Tan has since written a letter of apology to the teacher concerned. His mother, Madam Lim Hoon Har, told reporters outside court that her son made a mistake and had to bear the consequence. A happy and relieved Tan said: 'I feel better. I have changed.'
