  1. Prof gets 1-year probation for stealing hostelite's undies By Elena Chong AN ASSOCIATE professor at a China university was placed on 12 months' probation on Monday for theft of women's undergarments. Lee Wing Foon, 39, pleaded guilty in February to three counts of stealing brassieres and panties from three students at Nanyang Technological University on Dec 20 last year. The value of the stolen items was $153. Lee, who is suffering from fetishism, a sexual disorder, was caught at around 9.40pm that day when an NTU security officer saw him loitering at a hall of residence carrying a black bag. He was detained and taken to the security post where his bag was found to contain two bras and a panty belonging to a 21-year-old student. He had earlier stolen clothings and undergarments from the same hall when he drove there. He then placed the two 19-year-olds' bras and panties in a plastic bag in his car. Community Court Judge James Leong had called for a pre-sentence report which recommended probation for Lee. His lawyer, Mr Jose Charles, had earlier tendered a psychiatric report which said Lee had committed the offences as a result of his urges, work and marital stress. Under the probation order, Lee cannot leave the country for work beyond seven days on each occasion without first getting the permission of his probation officer. He has to attend psychiatric treatment and follow-up regularly, as well as specific treatment programme to address his condition. Lee had told the court that he was still doing work in China and would consult the probation officer if he was needed over there. Judge Leong said it was imperative that he undergo the period of probation without any problem. If he breaches his probation, he would be brought back to court to be sentenced for the original offences. Lee thanked the judge after the probation order. Two charges of fraudulently having a total of 544 pieces of underwear and apparel believed to have been stolen were considered during his sentencing. He could have been jailed for up to three years or fined, or both, for each charge of theft. http://www.straitstimes.com/Latest%2...ry_224703.html yay!! he gets 12 months of probation aka holiday but no free food and lodging!
  2. The sight of this man in his soaked, see-through briefs at this playground at the Singapore Zoo shocked STOMPer Joanne. The fact that he was dressed indecently like this in front of children and their parents only made it worse. Joanne wrote: "I brought my kids to their favourite water playground at the Singapore Zoo. "This man was in his underwear, wet and translucent, playing happily (like a child) with the other children. "He was oblivious to the fact that his bum could be seen. "He was even seen playing on the slide. "This is a play area for kids. Although adult supervision is needed, parents must be in proper attire, at least in a pair of shorts. I don't understand why the staff let him play on the slide."
  3. hmmmmm.......................... did you wear 'Red' undies for new year especially with 'Rabbit' design ....... See report below - Yahoo News Report : Red undies all the rage this Chinese New Year George Town (The Star/ANN) - Red and purple undergarments are popular among people of the Malaysian state of Penang this Chinese New Year. But do not expect to see images of the rabbit printed on them. Instead, the trend is for lace and gold embroidered underwear. Many Chinese believe wearing red and purple on Chinese New Year would bring them good luck. Roadside trader Anny Lim, 50, said she has seen more demand for the coloured undergarments that she imports from Thailand. "I brought in 100 sets three times and sales have been very good. "People also like purple, thanks to a beverage television commercial promoting purple as the extreme red," she quipped. People are also buying red bras with a tube design that covers their cleavage but is still visible when wearing a low-cut blouse. At Sunshine Square in Bayan Baru, lingerie department buyer Tan Siew Tuan, 36, said red undergarments, with lace and gold embroidery, are hot items. "People believe wearing red undergarments at the stroke of midnight to usher the Chinese New Year, coupled with red pyjamas, will bring them good luck and prosperity," she said. Even the men are snapping up red underwear for the new year. Sunshine's business processing department head Nicholas Ong said people wear the colour after listening to feng shui masters. Sales executive Lim Hui Zhen, 42, said she would always buy red undergarments to bring ong (prosperity in Hokkien). Feng shui master Lee Cheng Hoe said he did not think wearing red for good luck is true in terms of feng shui. "It is just a belief among the Chinese community. "We tend to confuse belief with culture, custom and religion," he said. HUAT AH .....................
  4. At midnight every day, this man will make his way to a bench in front of STOMPer Sayidi's block, take off his clothes and sleep while clad only in his underwear. According to the STOMPer, the man hangs his clothes on a tree branch before settling down for a good night's rest. Sayidi says: "Every day at around 12 am, this man will come and sleep on a bench in front of my HDB block wearing nothing but underwear. "I have contacted the police several times, but this guy always seems to come back. "He usually hangs his clothes on a nearby tree branch. "This is very indecent because there are many woman and children who can see him. "I hope he doesn't sleep naked the next time."

  7. April 9, 2008 Teen given 12-month probation for abusing teacher By Elena Chong, Court Correspondent A YOUTH who swore at his teacher for confiscating his MP3 player in class was placed on 12 months' probation on Wednesday. Jeremy Tan Wei Liang, who turned 18 last week, will have to do 60 hours of community service and attend counselling sessions to address his anger management problem. His mother was bonded for $2,000 to ensure his good behaviour. Tan, who is working as a temporary construction worker, pleaded guilty earlier in January to using abusive words on a teacher with intent to cause her distress on April 26 last year. Tan's classmate was caught listening to music during class that day and the teacher promptly confiscated the player which belonged to Tan. Tan then confronted the teacher, who refused to return the MP3 player to him. He then used his finger to point at her nose and scolded her. He even went through her bag to search for it and continued hurling abusive words and vulgarities in Hokkien at her. Community Court judge May Mesenas told Tan to change his abusive behaviour. 'I hope this will be a lesson learnt for you,' she told him. Tan has since written a letter of apology to the teacher concerned. His mother, Madam Lim Hoon Har, told reporters outside court that her son made a mistake and had to bear the consequence. A happy and relieved Tan said: 'I feel better. I have changed.'
