Anyone saw the accident just now??was driving out for lunch....saw the TP all over the place, at first thought spot check on mods..... DHL truck hit the Vios.....the VIOs pretty badly smashed....pray the occupants are ok but i doubt it...DHL truck lying on the side...think it hit the trees....

Recently while driving on coastal road, i have noticed a white bicycle chained to a tree, with little flowers and plants sticking out. I just found out that it is a memorial to the cyclist that were killed along that road. http://ghostbikes.org/ oh the irony, i just saw a new accident sign, looking for witness located 10 meters from this white bike. The funny thing is, even with this somber reminder i still see riders cyclist riding two across and worst sometimes 3 across. they still think they are on their grandfathers road. i wonder if a more direct approach is needed to drill some road manners into these cyclist. examples of banners 1) ABC undertakers! 50% discount for all cyclist on this road. 2) Singapore liver foundation, a big thank you to all the cyclist for you weekly donations. 3) MBS, feeling lucky?? why not come to our casino! we have better odds!

just now at about 9pm, i just knocked off work and was driving back to Tampines along Coastal Road. as i was approaching the fire station, i noticed some blinking lights and slowed down abit thinking maybe got ppl kenah summon or what .... but as i came closer and passed the side, saw a cyclist lying under the rear bumper of a malaysian trailer ! his cycling partner was beside him whilst another cyclist was also standing around offering help. the trucker cud only stand there as he also dunno what or how the accident happened. not wanting another accident happen, i stopped and reversed my car to the back of the trailer and lighted up the back of the trailer with my headlamps so the friend cud help the fallen cyclist. the fallen cyclist complained of breathing difficulties and there was abit of blood on his mouth/lips. I wanted to put my car there with the hazard lights on so warn vehicles behind not to come too close and jab the cyclists there. another car passing by also did the same and parked behind me too. as the other passerby cyclist had already called the ambulance and cops, i just waited until the cops came and then i told the cops that i wud move off and they should move their SUV to my location at the back of the trailer to give light and also protect the bikers from any stray vehicles from the back. as i was driving off, saw the ambulance came ....i think took them less than 10 mins from the phone call.

Was watching DC yesterday "Mega-structure". At the end of the show, it mentioned there is a future project to fight sea level rising, that is to build a dam that run 200km around the whole singapore island!! Wow!! Maybe after 100 years, the only land that seen in this region. Just to share!!
