Local brand F.EAST will launch the new flavours, which are inspired by "two of Singapore’s most beloved dishes", next Monday (Nov 27), it said in a news release. Customers can sample and purchase the chips at F.EAST's Christmas Fair booth located at Raffles Place. They are also available for purchase online at www.redmart.com. The potato chips retail for S$3 per pack. It will also be available in a four for S$10 promotion until Dec 1. F.EAST added that it hopes to introduce more flavours from across Asia in the future. 3. realised its really hard to find in singapore. a lot are too diluted or have too much milk. any foodies care to recommend?
  4. It seems to be getting harder these days for one to enjoy a decently priced meal of hawker food. From $13 for a plate of nasi padang to $17 for a bowl of laksa, food courts in shopping malls have seen an invasion of hawker food at restaurant prices. And while it was previously common only at food outlets in town, these hefty prices are now creeping into our neighbourhoods, much to the ire of patrons. But stall owners say they have little choice but to charge such prices due to high rents and food costs, reported The Straits Times. At a newly opened food court, Rasapura Masters in Marina Bay Sands (MBS) for instance, a meal of nasi padang with three side dishes
  5. I don't really the taste but had once that was cooked by a friend which was quite good. Still don't like it! Chicken rice and chilli crab all lose to less popular dish, even french toast from HK??
  6. Tried it just now and find it over-rated. Portion is small and a very stingy serving of laksa gravy with it. Add $1 of cockles but dun feel much of it. 1st and last time for me.
  7. Dear mcf-fers, I wonder how many of you are die hard fans of the famous katong laksa in Holland Village? Tonight i was there for that but was disgusted at the end. I spotted a cockroach inside after i was about to finish the whole bowl It resembles those cockroaches that I caught in my cockroach bait i kept in my car. But it's slightly different cause this one got pattern on the shell. Called the PRC staff over and she quickly asked the lady boss to come over. I did not say much and they quickly refunded me for the bowl. Went off feeling as i did not know if i swallowed any down anot. Well, if you are truly their die hard fan, maybe you may now think twice before going there. As for me, I guess it will take some time before i forget ps: I know that it is not 100% clean when it comes to food outside. But I am surprised to witness it myself tonight
