  1. What car would you buy for your 18 year old that just got their license? Something wonderful and flashy? (eg: Bently) A good and solid Euro? (eg: Polo) A true B n B car? (Altis) A sports car? For me, I think I would buy them a beater - teach them to understand car better, will be better drivers and I wouldn't want green eyes to turn on my kids.
  2. Nearly 100 rescued after Batam-Singapore ferry hits floating object All 97 passengers on board, including 51 Singaporeans and seven crew members, are safe and accounted for, according to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore. POSTED: 30 Nov 2015 01:39 UPDATED: 30 Nov 2015 06:51 File photo of passengers boarding the ferry along the Harbour Front in Singapore before heading to Indonesia's nearby Batam island. (AFP Photo/Roslan Rahman) SINGAPORE: Nearly 100 people were rescued after their ferry heading to Singapore from the Indonesian island of Batam hit a floating object on Sunday night (Nov 29). The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) said it received a report at about 9.45pm that an Indonesia-registered ferry “Sea Prince” had hit a floating object after leaving the Nongsapura ferry terminal in Batam. It said at the time of the incident, the ferry was in Indonesian waters and heading towards Singapore with 97 passengers, including 51 Singaporeans and seven crew. The ferry operator, Batamfast, immediately activated two ferries to transfer all the passengers to the Nongsapura ferry terminal. All the passengers are accounted for and the ferry is in a stable condition, MPA said. One of the passengers, Ms Chella Ho, who was travelling with two other friends, told Channel NewsAsia that the ferry sank slowly in deep waters halfway between Batam and Singapore. She said the ferry operator launched two inflatable boats from the ferry for the passengers, but both inflatable boats also sank due to the overload. All the passengers wore life-saving jackets. Ms Ho said some nearby vessels immediately came to their rescue and all passengers were saved. She said all passengers later arrived at Singapore’s Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal safely. - CNA/de http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/nearly-100-rescued-after/2304342.html?cx_tag=undefined&cid=tg:recos:undefined:standard#cxrecs_s

  4. aiyoh...just want to share, I was driving along Benoi road yesterday when noticed something rolling on the road towards me... seems like like a big metal ring that had fallen off a lorry or truck... nowhere to siam, tried my best to clear it but still banged onto my left front...now front bumper dislodged, badly dented and scratched... almost take out my fog lamp with it...
  5. A commercial van (stationary and not driven) was parked along a 2-lanes 2-ways road doing loading/unloading of cargo. While my car was passing alongside, an object fell off and hit my car sustaining dents and stretches on the car body. Van supervisor acknowledged the accident and signed a written note for cost of repair at his appointed workshop. However, he refused to honour the written agreement, claiming it was not a car-to- van accident but rather a careless workmanship from his workers. Can I claim repair cost from the van insurance company or claim for public liability from that company insurance? Should the company have not been insured, then I need to engage a lawyer to claim against owner of the company. Appreciate your comment
  6. After back from lunch break , saw the side rear window smashed , anyone here know where can the window be fix at the lowest price? Check with the insurance co. , can't claim for the rear window as it not original
  7. Proving that money is no object, one Middle Eastern car-lover is said to have bought 10 Aston Martin One-77s valued at US$1.4 million ($1.97 million) a piece. Why 10? The generous Arab wants to give the cars to his family members. To ship the cars out to his desert domain, the batch cost comes to a pretty US$23 million bill. Only 77 of these beauties are going to be made. And cars aren't the only things the Middle Easterners seem to splurge on. Over in Abu Dhabi, a number-plate bearing solely the digit
