  2. One of the most interesting things we did for our recent Hong Kong trip was to join the queue at Jenny Bakery (Tsim Sha Tsui) branch, for the famous cookies. We stayed at a nearby hotel (Hotel Panorama), so the bakery was about a 5 minute walk away. After checking in at our hotel, we went out for a walk. Made our way to the bakery and we were confronted with this line. Seeing is believing. And the weather was really hot! They were standing in the sun. Went inside to check out the store. This place accepts cash only. Be prepared to know exactly what to order. The staff will rush you, understandably so because there is a non-stop line! We returned to the place later in the evening and managed to buy some cookies. Here is our experience. Were the cookies good? Yes, very. Kids loved it. Adults loved it. We bought a few small tins back to give friends and they really loved it. Would we buy again? Yes, but we will go close to closing time, when the line is much shorter and at least you don't have to wait in the sun. It was really hot earlier in the day, and you could see the people in the queue were rather uncomfortable!
  3. Though it didn't affect me, I was damn TL to see those drivers. I was on my way back from Msia and was queuing up at the 2nd link yesterday afternoon. As the traffic was heavy, there was 3 lines instead of the usual 2 lines. The line on the left most had to squeeze a bit with the bus lane. There were few cuckoo drivers who drove their car so far left, which they could easily veer closer to the right to let the bus go. There was particularly this black matrix. I was this young lady, prob in early 20s, eating some tidbits while driving and the father sitting next to her. She was clearly obstructing the bus at the back and could just easily left the bus pass. Despite the bus driver horning at them, she just bo chup. This went on for like 15 minutes or so until when the bus manage to passby, the driver wind down the window to scold the driver, and the father had the cheek to scold back. What an idiot.
  4. I paid my last respects to Mr Lee Kuan Yew earlier today. I made this video to give all those who haven't done so a good idea of what the process is like. Yes, the wait may be long, but it was definitely worth it. As I waited, I marveled at all around me. The city, the trees, the Singapore River. Everything. What is Mr Lee Kuan Yew's most important contribution to Singapore? Just look around you. Spend your time reflecting on what Mr Lee has done for all of us. Let us now let him down as we take Singapore to even greater heights. Rest in peace, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. https://youtu.be/-Z3_-P-ju2U
