  1. 1 of my relay fuses was found to have blown up. The workshop (which I had never been to before) charged me $70 for it. Labour inclusive, just like to know whether that was a reasonable price so I know whether I can go back to them in future. Thanks!
  2. Hi guys, I have the following problem. Anyone happen to be able advise? I'm driving a 06 colt plus. Recently changed aircon coil and compressor. After that, noticed that my fan (only 1 fan in colt) relay clicks on/off loudly when the compressor cuts in/out. The weird thing is, my fan is already on whenever the aircon is on. I had gone back to the workshop and they told me its like that. Before this, I had never heard the fan relay click so loudly and feequently. Has any bros encountered this? is it possible that there's a wiring problem?

  5. Anybody want to watch the YOG torch relay? You can see the schedule [HERE]. Ominously, they will be also running on Friday the 13th Moi saw the torch relay during the Sydney Olympics. Back then, crowds were lining the route and some people were even sitting on top of bus stops.
  6. After reading thru the origin of the Torch Relay, I am totally turn-off with the development of current one. Do you see any similarity here ? http://www.ushmm.org/wlc/article.php?lang=...duleId=10007451 I quote : "On August 1, 1936, Hitler opened the Games of the 11th Olympiad. Musical fanfares directed by the famous composer Richard Strauss announced the dictator's arrival to the largely German crowd. Hundreds of athletes in opening day regalia marched into the stadium, team by team in alphabetical order. Inaugurating a new Olympic ritual, a lone runner arrived bearing a torch carried by relay from the site of the ancient Games in Olympia, Greece. The 1936 Games were the first to employ the torch run. Each of 3,422 torch bearers ran one kilometer (0.6 miles) along the route of the torch relay from the site of the ancient Olympics in Olympia, Greece, to Berlin. Former German Olympian Carl Diem modeled the relay after one that had been run in Athens in 80 B.C. It perfectly suited Nazi propagandists, who used torch-lit parades and rallies to attract Germans, especially youth, to the Nazi movement. The torch itself was made in 1936 by Krupp, a German company better known for its production of steel and armaments. "

  8. I have got hold of a Delay Timer circuit board with built in relay soldered on it. I intend to use this delay timer to control a small 12VDC water pump. Specification on the Delay Timer circuit board package says Relay Contact Rating: 7A @ 30VDC. Printed on the physical relay soldered on the board says 12A @ 28VDC. I was told that small water pump I have draws about 7.2A ~ 7.3A at start & steady 4A running. Should I run the pump off an additional relay to the Delay Timer Circuit Board ? Noting that the pump may be ran in a 5sec ON 5sec OFF fashion. Appreciate any input from guys familiar with electronics/electrical. TIA.
  9. Hi all, Thanks in advance for the advice. I am driving a Octavia Classis 2002. Had a funny situation this evening, the radiator fan was not turning, hence there was no air-conditioning. Found it out the other way round. Understanding the issue a little from my alfas'days, a main fan is not turning is due to 4 things, fuse, relay, contact point(connector to the fan) and fan failure (unlikely as I have managed to get it turning thereafter after mucking around). Now, kindly advice where is the fan relay situated, I will be most oblige. Ivan
  10. Hi all! I had just got a stebel magnum horn fix into my Trajet (by Sin kit). They did not use the given relay. Is this ok?
  11. hi I have this start up problem. Even after changing a starter , when I crank the key sometime there is only a spinning sound. one mech said due to wire aged , low electric power to starter cause this. another said due to some part in gear box? need to open up gear box????? What is that? I was thinking of adding a relay or grounding to improve electric power. Any advice? Thanks
