  2. How come the 'Anonymous' upload this video to youtube, then take it down? I searched on youtube and found several other videos purportedly done by 'Anonymous' against the respective countries' government but those videos have remained viewable on youtube. After looking through these Anonymous videos on youtube, I conclude a pattern: - It has identical opening video clip segment. - Most have identical segment that shows the guy in the mask facing the camera speaking from script. - The voice-over is from text-to-speech software. That means there is some stock Anonymous clip somewhere that people can download to use, just make amendments to the voice script and parse it through the text-to-speech software then add in the audio stream? P.S: how many brudders' here are secretly hoping that the real Anonymous (if there is one) can make our ERP gantries free? -------------------- Police investigating video threatening cyberattack on Singapore: IDA SINGAPORE — Police are investigating a YouTube video that purportedly showed an anonymous hacker group threatening to attack Singapore, said the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) today (Oct 31). The video, posted on Oct 29, claims to be put up by international hacker group Anonymous. Showing a person seated at a table and wearing a Guy Fawkes mask, a digitised voice-over threatened to attack Singapore’s infrastructures over the new licensing scheme for online news sites. “We demand you reconsider the regulations of your framework or we will be forced to go to war with you,” the video said. Lasting about three minutes and 40 seconds, the video also said that hacker The Messiah, who is behind the hacking of several websites in Singapore, is part of Anonymous. By this evening, the original video appeared to have been removed from YouTube, although copies can still be found online. In response to TODAY’s queries, an IDA spokesperson would only say, “We are aware of the video, and the police are investigating into the matter.” Queries have been sent to the police. http://www.todayonline.com/singapore/police-investigating-video-threatening-cyberattack-singapore

To kill herself. http://tnp.sg/content/blogger-arrested-aft...l-herself-hotel Local blogger Jiang Lai sparked a cyberspace furore last month with her controversial remark that "only ACS(I) boys are worth dating". Now, she may be in a spot of real-world trouble with the police. The New Paper understands that Miss Jiang, 23, was arrested on May 13 over an incident at the Fairmont Singapore. It is understood that Miss Jiang created a ruckus when she was asked to place a deposit while trying to check in for a week's stay. At one point, she threatened to commit suicide and later started mumbling incoherently. The New Paper also understands that a woman has also made a police report against her. 10. Taken from http://sg.news.yahoo.com/ap/20090726/tsp-c...sa-6e81073.html By PABLO GORONDI,Associated Press Writer AP - Monday, July 27 BUDAPEST, Hungary - Ferrari driver Felipe Massa remained in "life-threatening" but stable condition on Sunday following surgery on multiple skull fractures.ADVERTISEMENT Peter Bazso, the AEK hospital medical director, told reporters that Massa would remain sedated until Monday, but will be woken up periodically during that time. When asked whether Massa's life remained in danger, Bazso answered: "Yes, of course." Bazso said doctors were able to "remove the broken bones and stabilize the area," which was necessary since Massa arrived with "an open skull fracture and a contusion." He did not specify how long it would take Massa to recover, or whether there would be any long-term effects of the injury. "At the moment, we have to overcome this life-threatening condition," Bazso said, adding that a CT scan revealed "expected results after an operation of this type." Massa's parents and wife arrived after flying in from Brazil, and doctors woke Massa temporarily to check on his condition and so that he could see his family. Team principal Stefano Domenicali and several Ferrari staff were also on hand to support Massa's family, which included pregnant wife Anna Rafaela. Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo was scheduled to visit on Monday, while fellow Brazilian driver Rubens Barrichello was buoyed by the news he received from a doctor at the hospital when he visited after the Hungarian Grand Prix, although he didn't personally see Massa. "For me I can leave it in peace because he's going to be fine," Barrichello said. "The improvements from yesterday were quite good and that most probably he's going to be OK." At the Hungaroring circuit, Ferrari's garage displayed a banner reading "Forza Felipe Siamo Con Te" _ or "Be Strong Felipe, We Are With You." "Yesterday was a quite sad day to not see Felipe with us today," said race winner Lewis Hamilton, who battled Massa for the 2008 championship. "We miss him and wish him well and wish him a speedy recovery." The spring from Barrichello's Brawn GP car bounced into Massa's helmet as the 28-year-old driver reached speeds of about 120 mph. The impact concussed Massa, who then plowed into the protective tire barrier. "That's the job we do. We don't want to get too carried away with it," Red Bull's Mark Webber said. "He'll be fine. We missed him on the grid but the show must go on." The impact of the rear suspension part, believed to be made of steel, damaged the left side of Massa's helmet, ripping out the visor and leaving a long dent on its side. Blood was visible on Massa's left brow. Barrichello said the incident weighed on his mind Sunday. "I would be lying if in the middle of the race it didn't sometimes come to my mind. It's a friend," he said. "Not because the spring came from my car _ it could have come from any car so I'm not actually (blaming) myself for that." The crash came less than a week after Henry Surtees, the son of former F1 champion John Surtees, died in similar circumstances in an F2 race last Sunday. Surtees was struck in the head by a tire from another car, causing him to lose consciousness and drive into a barrier. FIA would investigate the crash, which is commonplace for the governing body. "It was very unfortunate what happened. (But) we have phenomenal safety in Formula One," Webber said. "Yesterday was terrifically freakish." No F1 driver has died on the track since Ayrton Senna's crash at Imola 15 years ago. The three-time champion died from head injuries after a violent crash.
  11. Manager gets threatening calls after NTU 'brats' are exposed http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singapor...nt.jsp?id=46373 "When you go out, you better watch out," an unknown caller said to the manager who alerted STOMP about some NTU undergrads challenging him, after one of them was caught parking illegally on campus and was told to move away. And in all his years as a manager, ravebroNTU says this is the first time he has come across such behaviour coming from the school's students. The STOMPer had earlier recounted a nasty confrontation he had with the errant driver, who insisted he was in the right though he had parked illegally in a wheel-clamp zone, and the latter had challenged the manager to a fight. The story was then posted on STOMP, and when it did, the threatening calls started. "I believe it is the same student, the driver of the car who is the culprit; he sounds the same, though he had called from a private number. "He called me twice on my office line, and twice on my mobile phone. "The first time he called, he asked me for my name and I told him who I was." RavebroNTU suspects this was how the student got his cellphone number, as he had put it on his Facebook account for his friends to contact him. "He called me a few times subsequently and said things like: "You are such a loser, and have nothing better to do." "He also threatened me over the phone, warning me to 'better watch out when you go out'. The STOMPer told us he intends to lodge a police report once he gets off work today. An NTU spokesperson says this is an isolated incident. In an email response, the spokesperson says: ""When a student convicts a crime or attempts to endanger another student or member of the university community by acting in a manner which is detrimental to the reputation, dignity or interest of a fellow student or University staff, speaking or acting in a threatening manner or causing bodily harm, he/she may be required to appear before the Board of Discipline. "Just want to add that this is an isolated case." really this NTU brat a SORE LOSER and CHICKEN leh...if want to threaten, tell the manager straight to the face personally, dun need to chook pattern by using anonymous call..hopefully this manager report to police and NTU management, have the RAT expell from Uni and let him fall back to the earth...cant imagine this RAT step into working society and behave like a "Siao Ren"....seriously this RAT really worst then woman...what a wussy he is
  12. Today at Holland Village Car park, I encountered a car park lot quarreling incident. What alarmed me is not the cause of the situation but rather how one of the car owner reacted! The person was in fact a lady. I didn't hear exactly how the situation was. What distinctively caught my attention was a women storming out of the car behaving barbaricly, shouting abuses and scolding bad word (Stone + Paper) at the other driver before any forms of negotiation. It happen so fast that the other driver could hardly say a word as if he was straight away in the wrong! I was seriously stunned by her behavoiur. More alarmingly, she said, "You try park your car here. You not scared you park your car here. You not afraid your car will be scratched you park here. You man enough, park here." All this while she was like this berserk women shouting and getting really verbally and expressively abusive. Then she carried on saying something about I will still scratch your car...Walauz! I'm shocked! Can't she settle this on a calm and rational manner first as much as possible before losing her state. The other driver I think couldn't be bothered to talk to her further and drove off. After the incident, I reflected on the whole incident. My question to mycarforumers....what would you have done or how would you have reacted to such a threat or situation?
  13. Extracted from Mr. Tan Kim Lian's blog, for sharing purpose. I learn something new today, about the part sending lawyer's letter to intimidate the public. ---------------- source: http://tankinlian.blogspot.com/2007/10/let...-for-other.html Dear Mr Tan, I receive a threatening letter from a lawyer acting for the other driver involved in an accident a few months ago. I have reported the accident to my insurance company. It is a minor accident. Why did the insurance company fail to settle this claim with the other party? What should I do? REPLY: You can give a reply to the lawyer to tell them to make their claim directly against your insurance company. At the same time, you can pass the lawyer's letter to your insurance company to handle. It is wrong for the lawyer to sent the letter to you, especially as they can lodge it with your insurance company. Some lawyers, acting on a third party claim, use this approach to intimidate the public. Perhaps you should make a complaint to the Law Society against this type of behaviour.
