Not sure where to put this developing tragedy... has been going on since morning... but it's mostly confirmed now. 76 dead, 5 survive. Plane was also carrying the Chapesoense football team to Colombia for the Copa Sudamericana final against Colombian side Atlético Nacional. This was a fairy tale season for them as they'd been promoted to the top flight in 2014 only. Read somewhere else that they were supposed to travel in their own chartered plane but was refused permission by Brazil authorities. An accident involving a Mitsubishi rally car killed three spectators in Serbia on 26 Aug, Sunday. The car lost control and ramped into the crowd that was standing very close to the road at a high speed corner. The driver of the car is a Bosnian. The event was a local rally called the Hill Climb Tara 2012 race which took place on Mt. Tara, about 100 kilometers southwest of Belgrade. One man reportedly died shortly after the accident where as another man and a woman was treated but succumbed to injuries later on. A 17 year old boy was badly injured during the accident but he is said to be out of danger now. The organizers immediately banned all spectators from staying there in order to avoid further tragedies. Spectators standing next to the road during car rallies expose themselves to tremendous danger. However, this has been a problem for decades and similar accidents have happened in the past. People never seem to learn. Perhaps, the FIA should put its foot down and administer some rules and regulations for such races. Failure of compliance by the organizer should result in hefty fines. Damned suay today... 1st the neighborhood cat finally expired the last life... blackie has lived a 10 good years, gg ard as a small mischevious kitty, it has it's fair share of bruises in her final day... many strays hv come and gone but blackie was away there. the 7th month was really a wretch on her poor soul.. she look suffered, lost her appetite. and went missing. when she returned on the last day of 7th month, it was like a final farewell fr an old friend. Nw.. my fish tank also giving up on me... the decieving wetting of the floor lead me to think it was the hoses for the filter. when i search ard, it was not... then the next logic is a leaking filter tank. again it continue to leak... with increasing stench. the bottom of the tank must hv sprung a leak.. not a bad leak but enuff to damp the floor.
