If dick is 10ft also cannot, rt @vratenza

Yes. Must be next to you which is the case of petrol fill cap and the rear passenger door handle. If that someone is so close to u... You would have noticed no?

Really worried about safety in Jb? Just a few keystroke on your key fob will deactivate the keyless entry temporarily until reactivated.

I am curious. If I had a keyless entry system and I was pumping petrol in jb, does it mean anyone can open my car door since I am nearby and key fob is within range?

I also think people just like to assume things.

1. Manual is in japanese.

2. Hybrid engines don't get their ignitions turned on like that. Like pressing the start button without stepping on brakes isn't the first thing anyone would try.

Another thing that proves my point.

Also, https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/se-asia/car-thieves-in-malaysia-have-gone-high-tech-using-device-to-unlock-car-with-keyless

I recommend that you download the car manual in PDF then translate the whole document in English.

Otherwise you may be missing out some features or warnings.

Cannot praise you but Tks

In thus age and time google should be ubiquitous

No excuses regardless

Yes, in this day and age, we have to embrace technology and not find faults/excuses to avoid.

Very soon AI will be upon us ... we have to keep updating ourselves or become redundant/irrelevant.

Guess some have more resistance to learning new things and the learning curve a little challenged.

As @vid mentioned we really need to be more embracing of change

My Toyota only allows me to unlock the car when I'm at the door but I know some car system will allow longer distance. I saw the episode in Top Gear where they pranked the host after he parked too close to him at a restaurant.

Also, I am under the impression that if people want to steal your car, you can only deter, like using steering wheel lock.

This one is not applicable to all models/makes right?

No need praise la, unless can use praises to change for vouchers, hahaha!

Just find it a bit wasteful if there are features in the car but didn't know just because manual is in Japanese.

So contradicting. Advanced tech for cars means people get lazier and more redundant.

Self parking, self driving etc.

Ten years down the road people won't even be able to park their car by themselves.

"Oh, why do I need to learn how to park? My car can do that by itself."

So many sensitive people in this forum lol. Talking about pros and cons of keyless entry become "people cannot embrace change". Must be our ageing population.

Usually i put my car key and house key in the car while washing car. Got one time while drying the handle, i trigger the lock area and my car locked itself with my car and house key inside. My wife wont be home till late at night. After touching all the possible sensors around the car for a good 5mins, i managed to unlock the car from outside. Heng ar. Now car keys are always in my pocket when washing car.

In 2008, when i got my Toyota Axio, i installed the keyless alarm system from soxxi. Once remote away from car, within 5mins it will sound the alarm and fuel pump cut off. Nowadays not like that one meh?

My current car, even with remote in ur pocket, open driver door, engine cut off liao. Need to vagcom it so that it wont happen. So now it only give tink tink alarm sound only and not cut off the engine.

I tot with immobiliser, it should cut the fuel pump if remote is not with the car. That is to prevent carjacking in JB.
