Vincent already graciously invited him to his WS, but then Picanto chooses to hide behind the scene and be computer hero. Be a man, picanto. Go down and take to Vincent directly at RV...

i have no business to give him and i can't afford to pay for his good services. what's the point of going to see his handsome face?

i personally think Vincent has done a wonderful job as it's not easy to maintain a good customer service if all the technician are so busy most of the time. If i'm an employee there i'll surely change job if i'm not treated well in the 1st place. And this of course include the salary and year end bonus. And when they're so busy surely some customers may end up not happy. most of the customers there i believe are thru good recommendation or regular customers like me or else they won't be so successful. those who think the charges are more expensive have all the right to go elsewhere to service. at least RV won't be so crowded all the time.

MOM does not impose minimum wage laws unlike those european countries, US and australia. So anyone can setup a garage and uncut the market. :D

If they have minimum wage laws, I will be earning more than my counterparts in other countries. That why MNC like to come here and employ cheap labour previously.

no, i mean, in local context, what is the norm for per hour labour charge ? like if you send your car for repair, how much the ws charge per hour of repair ?

not practical... would u dare to entrust the overhaul and dismantling of your engine and etc to some not so skilled technicians? [knife]

rather, the structural failure of the alutec crank pulley, as what one here has experienced...

Yes thats the prob so Vincent didnt want to sell anymore to avoid less headache.

When i changed the suspension for the Altis, prv ride, he even recommended another brand which has 1 year warranty and cost cheaper than KYB.

Local workshop charge by work done rather than per hr basis.

If u caught The Garage show on Ch72, SCV. English Mobile Mechanics in Spain charge by per hr basis. I also love watching this show, thus gaining some knowledge abt car mechanics.

I am more familiar with marine mechanics. :D

actually come to think of it, if the intention of the TS was to create "awareness" for Riverview... He definitely did so, however it wasn't to the positive awareness that he was looking at.

Dear fellow forumers, when you are free just make a trip down to Riverview. Look at the cars being serviced there, there are expensive continental marques being serviced there.. Why? Just talk to vincent over at the workshop when you are there.. you will know ^^

In Europe & US, ws charge per hour. Even some ws here adopt a similar standard by charging the labour costs based on how long the work took but I think here u can expect the ws to abuse this practice by working slowly & dragging the work to charge more labour. Especially at times when biz is slow.

That why motorists here still prefer to get a quote for the whole job b4 deciding if to go ahead or not.

The garage is a good prog. Also got another where they buy a car & the ws repair it to very good condition with a fixed budget.

I see the low prices of the cars there & sliva drip. [nosebleed]
