judging from some of the trees i see,

 

the branches are branching out, covering at least 2 lanes from the pavement where it's supposedly rooted....

 

i think it's complacency and lack of maintenance rather than "Act of God", should the tree fall....

 

smart thing that the gahmen already anticipated such things and have made a policy that nobody can claim from them, in the event of fallen trees....

i need to cut down all the big trees in Singapore since the authorities aren't doing anything....

then claim the trees are felled for obvious reasons....

I dream that the next big hipcup will be HDB lift.

 

last time they will do regular servicing and paste a certificate stating next service date at the top left corner of the lift.

 

now they put, no certificate needed. don worry they are been service, something like that. I doubt so.........

I concur. My block lift upgrading they used this lousy brand Sigma. Slow and noisy, got creaking noise when the doors are closed and moving up. Seems smaller than Fujitec too.

 

Why can't they just use Fujitec? :angry:

this is Singapore,

 

not some country side....

 

we're a concrete jungle....

 

and will soon be ever closer to seeing lesser trees around....

 

more land has to be reclaimed from forested areas to make way for public housing and more roads being build....

 

and floods aren't entirely caused by the lack of trees to hold the ground or to trap the water....

actually, there are more trees that fall.. its just that they didnt report those cases that didnt caused any injury/ damage/death..

A MAN escaped unharmed when a fallen tree hit his car's windscreen at about 8.30am on Wednesday.

 

He was alone in the vehicle, waiting for the traffic light to turn green at the junction of Upper East Coast Road and Bedok South Ave 1.

 

This latest incident is the third in the past two weeks.

 

On July 20, Mr Chua Loong Wai was killed after a rain tree fell on his moving car along Yio Chu Kang road.

 

Two days later, another tree fell on a moving car in Ang Mo Kio, but the three in the vehicle were unhurt.

 

 

Whatever there is to suggest, make sure you dun create more problems just to tackle this problem as many are so fond of doing.... :angry: :angry:
