Did you get his answer ? He said Mazda 6 is a driver's car. There is nothing about performance being mentioned here. I give you one simple test. You sit in a Civic first, put your legs on the foot rest and accelerator and then the brakes. After that, sit in the Mazda 6 and try. You can feel clearly which car is designed with the driver in mind. But the design of Honda's interior, material and paint work is a no fight with Mazda's. HLC-Mazda6 1st Gear November 27, 2019 Share November 27, 2019 A driver's car does not mean top performance only. It includes the driving dynamics, road holding, the car's responsiveness to driver's inputs, and the feel of the car for the driver. I do agree that overall, Mazda 6 is a driver's car - it does give a sporty drive with its torque, roadholding, plush cabin, responsiveness and adequate power for most situations.

Hi David. I was inferring that from the review that was posted by SGCarmart. Not voicing my opinion. In the review, it's clearly stated that the Mazda 6 loses out to the other 2 when it comes to boot space, rear leg room, which are things that a family sedan should have. The only thing it has an advantage in are steering characteristics and a more powerful (but thirstier) powertrain. So yeah, not incorrect to infer that it's a driver's car based on what the review is saying no?

Alternatively, I brought the issue up to Mazda during my servicing - and when I got car back, managed to connect to the Camera again. Not sure what they did - maybe updated the camera’s firmware. I also wish to add, that "thirsti-ness" of the car depends greatly on the person driving it. Our foot is connected to a tap, the harder we step, the faster the fuel tank (and our wallet) empties. I'm achieving approx 8.3 L/ 100 km (50% city 50% highway) with about 19+ thousand km in. That comes up to about 12.0 km/ L petrol given my driving style, which is quite different from the SGCarmart review figure of 9.4 km/ L.
richard_crl032 6th Gear November 29, 2019 Share November 29, 2019 Hi All, After 1 yr with wife's mazda 6 executive, I will say quite a handsome car with very nice and simple interior with all the key needed gadgetries as well as excellent FC for a 2l sedan if driven sanely (you cannot drive it other ways). I drive the forester xt in comparison. Cheers. Richard

Recommended is Mazda Oil 0W20, 5W40 won’t cause harm but may feel less responsive and fuel economy may be lower. You mean dealer (Eurokars) serviced and gave you 5W40? Seems unlikely

And do not subscribe to those workshop claims that any engine oil will do. Just becos they do not have the correct oil for you doesn't mean you can use anything they have. Greenchilli Neutral Newbie December 5, 2019 Share December 5, 2019 Well, if you check the online Mazda Owners Manual (https://owners-manual.mazda.com/gen/en/mazda6/mazda6_8fk7ee16f/contents/07030400.html) usage of 5W-40 is within spec for outside Europe.
