yeah good advice!

 

For my airfloss, after each use, I will pour out the water from the reservoir and activate the pump a few times till all water is drained from the internal (unseen) mechanism such that no water is left inside the system. 

 

Weekly, I will fill the reservoir with listerine mouthwash instead of water to do airflossing. That should sanitize the internal mechanism properly.

 

I love my power flosser but one thing that should be mentioned and that is I never empty the water pod, my bad, and I think it can develop algy if not thoroughly cleaned on a monthly basis.
And that algy and possibly any associated bacteria can cause a stomach upset.

Just my thoughts.  May or may not be correct.

 

I now wash out the water pod monthly with an anti bacterial solution.

As I do the water bottle I use when I go to the gym.

I'm still confused whats the diff between a airflosser and a water flosser.

If you want to clean things other than your teeth, get the water flosser. Cleaning your slow juicers, razor blade are easier.

Water flosser are more effective in removing plaque and larger food particles. And you will bleed in the beginning. Hahaha.

Oh, might be old info. I saw waterpik at taka's kitchen section. Its hidden at the pillar near the cleaning stuff/ladder section of taka. Pricing varies. Saw some low priced to 499(?) models.

Mine is china brand. H2Ofloss, battery operated. Less than $40 from aliexpress. Very powerful when fully charged. But batteries only lasted less than a week, and it gets weak. If you have abit soldering skill, can change the batteries to eneloop,.since it's 4 AA batteries soldered together.

When you're not using the water flosser, leave the cap open for it to dry.

Do not keep it constantly wet, as algae and mold will grow.

I bought this Waterpik from Amazon recently, poison flows this thread. It is good. I used it in the shower, so less messy. Hope it lasts.

quick question and I must admit I didn't read all the posts here. I notice there are 2 types in the market, maybe more. 1 is vibration or moving up/down. The other is a rotating brush. Which is better? I don't think I need speed adjustment. The replacement brush cost maybe the key consideration since the mechanism should last for a while.

The jet can be very focused and thus might cause pain and bleeding from your nether regions.

 

Plus, please don't use it again in your mouth after you are done with your anal exporation......that said, I really don't mind more business also
