Joseph22 Turbocharged June 1, 2011 Share June 1, 2011 I think somewhat applies My car cost me 250k Bachelor degree Income in the range of 350k per annum Still a little behind my peers in the cost of car but generally I think ok then no, you are too stupid to drive a 250K car liao BTW, i seen school drop out driving 300K car and no, they are not in sales or in parents account. Pocus Turbocharged June 1, 2011 Share June 1, 2011 Come on....of course it's NOT true. These people just fair bad academically and not as well informed was savy people like you. If you let them take IQ test, you'll be surprise some score better than you! People who are poor academically are usually masters of application/practical skills. As for driving, besides the insight, experience also another thing. The reason you hear accidents on the road by these people is simply bcos their work/job get them on the roads much more often then any of us office-bounded keyboard heroes! The chances of a US marine to die in combat is much higher than you. Does that mean you are a better soldier/fighter?
Watwheels Supersonic June 1, 2011 Share June 1, 2011 (edited) Do you think a persons intelligence level affects the way they drive? For example lorry drivers who are clearly uneducated some doesnt even have primary education drive badly ... And so are taxi drivers (most) We also see that intelligence level will determine the type of car one drives (mostly) eg a school dropout will likely drive a picanto than a BMW , I see many getz, vios an other small cheap car driving badly.. Is my hypothesis valid? I wish to hear your opinion That idea of yours just proves that you are an idiot. Anyway you are talking about academic achievements, it's totally different from intelligence. Is my hypothesis valid? I wish to hear your opinion i think driving is a skill that doesn't require high intelligence. It's a skill that comes with practice which most can pick up. You may think that lorry and taxi drivers drive badly, but on the flip side they are actually more skillful than most because of the hours that they spend on the road. You may think that they drive recklessly, but it may just be what's necessary to efficiently move a 10-tire lorry or to grab the most customers. So, no. I don't think intelligence has anything to do with the way someone drives...

Is my hypothesis valid? I wish to hear your opinion Not really... Most people on the roads these days are educated, but why are we hearing accidents reported on the radio everyday? Some don't have high education level can do business and drive luxury cars while most degree holders still work under people and struggle to pay installments for a humble ride. I think such hypothesis only valid to a very small percentage. In poor countries, without traffic light controlling a junction, we see all vehicles come together, so are the pedestrians, slow it might be, the traffic still flow without accident. Here, with failed traffic lights, what do we see? Jams, horns, everybody stuck fail to give way, matters only improve either when a police comes to resolve the situation. Sometimes I have seen cars zoom past instead of slowing down checking the situation and a loud bang followed, is that intelligence? I happen to see that sometimes being very highly educated doesn't really translate to many things they do will be equally intelligent, a minor few will applied that intelligence on everything but not all smart ones. I wish to hear your opinion IMO, i dont agree with your view. i got very high regard to container drivers. their judgement are excellent and i think most of them dont have a high education. All these are from experience. Most of us here dont think can handle this kind of vehicle even you have a PHD.

Still remember "someone" posted a tread sometimes back driving a 3L monster and refuse to give way to some B&B car on the road, and insulted the B&B car driver that driving a "low class" car but still dare to challenge that "someone" 3L monster. apparently, the 3L monster cost 250k, should be quite a monster i believe! in this case, a complete idiot can own a nice ride but do not even know what is road courtesy. an insult in such a way does revealed one's stupidity, if not, a complete keyboard warrior.
