Extracting engine oil and other vehicle fluid will be fun and enjoyable for DIYers with this manually operated vacuum extractor. No more crawling under the car and getting burn by hot engine oil pan, dripping oil, exhaust pipe etc.

but still gotta crawl under to change oil filter mah

Depending on the make and model of cars. Some European cars you can remove the filter from the top of engine bay.

For some late model cars that used paper oil filter, you have to be careful as such cartridge has about 1 litre of oil inside. For Toyota and some VAG cars, the filter has a drain vale where you can attached a drain hose to remove the oil prior to opening the cartridge.

yup, supposed to be more environmentally friendly, but end up more expensive and more parts - paper filter + seal + plastic drain plug packaged inside a paper box. [bigcry] More inconvenient to change also. Such paper filter typically costs 2 to 3 times more than canister type.

If we continue to live and drive cars, trucks like those of the 50's, chance we may not have progress so much and many food chains may have disappear long ago. There no choice but to spend a little bit more on enviromental cost so that our next generations to come will have a better world.
