right after I applied moisturiser to my legs after shower (dry skin)

Can try this to see if it helps.

Lie on back with bent knees.

Back straight gently push knees to one side and then the other side.

Do gently if really painful stop and consult a doctor.

6th Gear

Paste Salonpas koyok for a few hours, or rub in Deep Heat muscle relaxing gel. Both available from Guardian/Watsons. Recovery will be over few days.

If need immediate relief, then use cold spray Deep Freeze. Numbs the pain. You always see footballers and sportsmen spray this when get injured on the field.

Both of these are for muscle/ligament problems. If joint or underlying organ, go and see a doctor.

Any good Tui Na master to recommend in the west part of Singapore?

Getting old with all sorts of pain now, better start collecting name cards, in case I need to look for one.

updates after 48 hours

I didn't see doctor, but it is getting better, especially after I started taking Panadol Extend yesterday and doing some gentle stretching

pain drops from 5/10 to 3/10 or 1/10 (with panadol)

Back injuries can occur due to the slightest things - bending down to pick up something, a sneeze, reaching up to take something..... etc.

it there such a thing as "delayed injury"?

I tried to recall all activities prior to the back injury (no lion dance)

2 days before the injury, I was lifting a toolbox (~10kg) in a awkward posture

nothing unusual after that

like this but with both arms fully extended

Entirely possible. I think if your arms were extended, there's a lot of stress for your back to maintain that cantilever position.

I do a lot of exercises to strengthen the core muscles but will get backache once in a while.

a doctor once told me

if panadol can stop the pain, meaning it is not serious 😁

I think that one is a slow release paracetamol

650mg instead of 500mg but release over a longer period of time than normal panadol
