It's similar to CS (CounterStrike) but this one is slower pace and require more teamwork instead of solo. Otherwise you can consider Modern Warfare 3 (aka MW3), which is closest to CS, faster pace and more solo. Most of us are playing BF3 btw. I think I'm more into rpg.. Ff7 type.. Just got fifa 12.. Any idea wats there about logging into three network? All (if not most) games allow you to play standalone, meaning single player without connecting to the Internet for Multiplayer gaming. If you want to play Multiplayer, then you need to connect your PS3 to your home router. 2 ways to connect to your router: 1. Wired - use the LAN cable to connect your PS3 ethernet port to your router. 2. Some ppl advised not to keep your credit card information in your PSN account. You can create a PSN account without credit card. Credit card is required when you need to download game addons from the PS Store. In addition to that, PSN account id is your email addr. Try setting a password that is different from your email addr. Other than that, for the time being, you can still play your PS3 without connecting to the network, for non-online gaming that is. You might need to hook it to the Network if you have purchased new game that require the latest System Update. One additional thing abt the PSN, is the accessibility to the PS Store. I am not familiar with ps3 jb. but from the forums that I have read, it seems that Sony is acting very tough on this. ya, each game is expensive, that is why I only buy 1 game each year. I only play FPS, so it is still ok for me. I am hooked to EA's Battlefield. Usually they will release a new series 1-2 years time, so it is still ok for me. some games have trial ver in PS Store.
