I seek advise from my pc guru, and was told to wait until D3 specs are finalized.

 

Then, we will decide to go for desktop or laptop..

Nvidia and ATI at roughly 250-350 dollar range is minimal performance gap.

on toms hardware performance chart its still the top 5 graphic card. The only upgrade I can think of is 6990. But ita very expensive.

The closed beta already been around for months. Graphically, wont have much difference.

 

Diablo graphics wont be taxing on most systems

Yeah you can wait for the release. Looks like its Late Q2 or somewhere in Q3 for now.

you thinking of playing at max AA and AF settings? otherwise it is overkill. if your system can handle Elderscrolls V, Diablo 3 should not be a problem.

actually quite silly, i got a cpu just for D3..

built couple years back..

 

basically, no other use for it other than prawning and internet..

 

now got to spend money again, just waiting for D3 finalize of specs.

I always play full setting. But 4870 is good enough. What I want to do is duo monitor.

Better check if the warranty coverage is only in Korea or international. One of the reason I do not buy usually buy electronic stuff oversea due to alot is local warranty only.

are you able to tell the difference between 20 fps and 25 fps? if framerate is your utmost concern, go for a graphics card with GPU(s) that have many pipelines and preferably overclocked. Your priority is getting the GPU to draw as many polygons in a timeframe.

 

if image quality is your concern, go for a graphics card which has many pixel and vertex shader units.
