It's like brainwashed to the point of not able to differentiate what is right and wrong.. machiam like north korea where their people gotten washed clean clean by their leaders and own media.

 

My cousin is one of those zombies...even posted on her facebook news of their trial and her full and unreserved support for them.. sad..

They have to realise that faith in god=/= faith in a fallible human

can go for sermon & gamble at same time ... somethings wrong here... oh well like CHC the material world & religion are probably somehow intertwined too...

 

church is the people, not the venue.

if someone is going for sermon and gamble after service, he probably isnt a believer anyway.

I think they should also keep an eye on this church.

Think better not go into the religious point here.. suggest we stick to the court case. The point here is the misuse of church funds and not the religion.

 

I guess you are right .... anyway I can't delete it now so let the mod decides if they would want to remove it.

City Harvest Church yesterday rubbished any suggestion that it has been trying to keep the public from viewing trial proceedings by taking up most of the court passes.
Instead, around 16 students from its School of Theology (SOT) have been queueing up early in the morning for a pass each, as a favour to church members.
Responding to a query from The Straits Times, a church spokesman said: "We have a number of members who are parents who want to listen to proceedings... (However), they have to get their kids ready and send them off to school, for instance, and cannot be physically available to collect the tickets issued.
"As such, about 16 SOT students have kindly volunteered, for the duration of August and September, to help these parents collect the tickets at 5am...
"As these SOT students stay in the same dormitory, they have made arrangements to come together by a hired bus, as public transport is not available at that hour and taxis are too costly.
"The rest of the tickets are available to others in the queue."
Since church founder Kong Hee took the stand last Monday, the courtroom has been relatively empty, compared with the full houses when the trial started in May last year. This was despite the 50 passes reserved for the public being taken up each morning.
But yesterday, the courtroom was close to completely full after the public realised that they could enter without a pass after 10am, if free seats were available.

most prob the students volunteered.....let them be....the number of supporters wont make a difference to the final judgement. Now no need to use pass.....lagi better!

LOL....another lie to cover another lie....This bad habit of theirs is so deeply infused into CHC culture from the top man to the PR....

Anyway, since day 1, most of the tickets are taken by CHC folks, and if they say rest of tickets are available to others, means got tickets left lah, so why need to queue leh? and worse, after queuing and getting the tickets, nvr bother to turn up....mmmm......pretty obvious wat they trying to do lor.

Kong and his deputies have maintained that Xtron and the church were independent entities operating at arm's length.(CNA)

 

But in a recent hearing...
