Update on the pigeons. Town Council called and said will come and clear the eggs and clean the aircon ledge for me.

Supersonic

Buy spikes from Daiso and ask them to glue to aircon tray for you. Before Daiso set up here, I used satay sticks and foam board :) Pigeons like to nest where there's warm air for the chicks so aircon compressors are their favourites.

yup. pesky pigeons

My auntie pass away due to this

She thought she was doing kindness by feeding the pigeon

With the aircon exhaust fan blowing, it help spread the disease

Usually it kills children and old people the most as their immune system is weak

Only pigeons? Other species ok?

You need to ask lala81

But rule of thumb...is that a clean environment will has less possibility of contracting respiratory illnesses

Rather anal about aircon balcony cleanliness or my entire home

Clean every 2 days

Pigeons are habitual creatures and they will find another nest somewhere. Another pair will come back to nest very soon once they sense no barriers or danger at your aircon ledge.

You can try cheaper barriers like fish netting to cover entire access area (top and sides) or you can try bird spikes on their possible landing points. I have installed invisible grille after trying the above methods and it is maintenance-free for about 3 years already. No need to clean up every other week.

Please report irresponsible persons feeding the pigeons in your neighbourhood to AVA.

I asked the Town Council about installing the grill and he say must ask permission from HDB. But simple fish nets or wire fencing no need ask HDB.

Yesterday I went Diaso to look for the bird spikes but unable to find any. Anywhere else to look for it??? I dont want the pigeons to come back.
