In case anyone is wondering by international standards it’s lower compared to countries like UK which have already hit $3 per liter last week.

I guess we haven't been traveling and only see whats in front of us. I posted it before in this thread, that relative to many places in Europe, our prices are high but not the highest.

You can of course compare to the subsidised rates in Malaysia, but look where that has gotten them..

Petrol are expensive here la, let’s face it.

The cartels and petrol tax.

If you keep comparing to countries that are more expensive than here, of course it will be cheap here. Everything is relative.

how much do cars cost to buy in the UK? look at the total cost of ownership, not cherry pick one item to suit your position.

Australia can? AUDSGD FX almost 1:1 for easy comparison

https://fuelprice.io/brands/shell/?fuel_type=ulp98&state=vic

use SHELL Premium 98 vs ours since Australia get 33% of their fuel from Singapore refinery too 😂😂😂

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-02-11/australia-loses-another-oil-refinery-risking-fuel-supply/13139648

below extract from the above news articles

Origin of petroleum imports

More than 90 per cent of Australia's refined fuels are imported these days.

In 2019-20, automotive gasoline was imported from Singapore (33 per cent), South Korea (29 per cent), and the United States (9 per cent), while diesel fuel came from Singapore (24 per cent), Japan (19 per cent), and China (16 per cent).

In total, Australia imported $22.4 billion worth of refined petroleum products.
