On my recent trip to OZ, I noticed something.

In SG, when I order the tuna sandwitch, I normal ask for additional scoop as for the 6-inch, they only give 1 scoop. So, in OZ, I ordered the same and end up I have 3 scoops as the basic is already 2 scoops. Eat until very jelak as there is too much tuna.

different portions.. [rolleyes]

for me, I go diet coke and I go for yellow mustard sauce, only 10 kcal. There is a nutrition chart in their website and u can read up which subs , sauces, breads are loaded w calories!

BTW, the highest calories bread is the WRAP! PPL think WRAP is healthy but its actually the highest calories of all breads.

Damn! So which bread lowest calories? Will try yellow mustard next time.

Well, I generally find Subway ingredients a tab bit more healthier and fresher (Don know, just my feeling when eating subway), esp the bread, for me, once a while (Once every 3-5 months) treat myself to a 6 inch one is ok

I only normally eat subway if I travel, or need a quick bite. On normal work day, doesn't make sence since you can get the ingredient & make yourself at home or for noon.

But of course, asking many Singaporeans to prepare their own meal is asking a lot. I should know, but once you are willing to & start do your own cooking & prepare own meal, you will wonder why you eat outside with all the unhealthy choices so often.

But the amount of sugar is different! Anyway, its not encourage to eat carbo high food in the evening, like bread, potatos, rice & pasta.

Can't avoid carbo entirely lah.... Anyway, wholemeal is still better than white bread if compare gram by gram. It has lower content of carbo and lower glycemix index which means it won't make your glucose level go on roller coaster. That's why it's prefered over white bread. However, if someone's mindset is that, oh, if I eat white bread, I normal eat 2 pieces, then if I eat wholemeal, I can eat 4 pieces then it defeats the whole purpose as the total calorie and total carbo you eat will end up more.

So, in summary, subway should still be a healthier meal if you maintain the portion.
