Anyone using dual sim card phone, using an overseas no and a local no.?

Been switching the whatsapp account back n forth, very ma fan, any other effective way to manage this using dual sim card phone?

TIA

No problem with my lenovo dual sim during my last holiday in aud.

Set 4g to local and gsm to Singapore line. Still can use whatsapp.

Btw, my whatsapp is tied to Singapore line. Though it is set to 2g, i guess it can still utilized the 4g of the Aud line.

No problem using dual sim phone with WhatsApp. For years, I have been using WhatsApp tagged to Singapore number (sim 1). When I'm in Australia (for my second sim card), I just activate sim 2 as my primary data card. Don't use Singapore sim card as primary data line as the charges will be high, unless you have unlimited overseas data. Remember to change data back to Singapore sim when back in Singapore.

once set up, WhatsApp is pegged to the phone. Just change Sim card and it still works. no Sim card also works as long as got wifi.

Once u change SIM card with diff number, it will ask you whether to update to new number

I just swapped a few days ago. It sure did not ask. I swap once or twice a month due to travel, I don't remember it ever asks. Maybe Android version vs iOS?

You are using iOS? On my Android phones, the whatsapp still work as long as got wifi/data even if I remove the original SIM card.

I am on IOS.  it still works as long as got internet.  As soon as a difference SIM card is used, whatsapp will ask whether to update to new number.

Whatsapp web, how to quote message in group chat huh?

We have been using this feature for a few months. Very useful.

Example if you wanted to reply directly to a particular message, tap and hold that message until options appear on the top right corner.

Look for a "curve arrow", which usually is on the leftmost of the options. Tap the curve arrow.

The particular message will now be shown in a "frame", and you simply type in your reply.

The recipient will see your reply together with the particular message. The recipient will understand exactly what your reply relate to.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I am already using this feature. Just that I cannot seem to find this feature in the web version of the whatsapp.
