Seventeen people were injured in an accident involving a lorry on the Ayer-Rajah expressway (AYE) on Thursday morning.

 

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted at 8.15am to an accident on the AYE towards the East Coast Parkway, before the Jurong Town Hall exit.

 

Four ambulances were dispatched and the victims were taken to Alexandra Hospital and the National University Hospital.

 

The Straits Times understands that there were no fatalities or critical injuries.

Good luck to those staying around JE.... Jam is bound to get worse with all the new buildups and hospital there.

 

RADX, you should set up a biz at the new JGH. High chance of those send to JGH will die, coz tio stuck at the jam.... [laugh]

Another reason for the relevant activist to push for total ban of using lorries to transport workers to work side.

 

So more buses required now. With the kind of Cat C COE price, wah piang, don't how the customer price index will end up with.

This morning along SLE towards CTE also. Accident happen just after Lentor exit to SLE ..... :ph34r:

 

Heard from news that accident happen very early morning and had not cleared until 9.00am. Don't know what happen. Avoid SLE and go down straight to YCK road from Yishun & then back to CTE again... -_-

Was stuck in the jam after exiting from Yuan Ching Road. Saw the accident, it involve 3 buses and a lorry if I'm not wrong and one of the bus is the Causeway Link bus.

The lorry was lying on its side when I pass by at 10am.

There is still a jam now.

I just now also stuck at AYE. Only managed to clear the accident site after almost 30 mins from pioneer rd north. Pass by again on the opposite side at about 10am, accident site yet to be cleared. Wtf.

 

Another to note, saw a bus on the 1st lane towards tuas wif emas behind..wat a jam day

5.00am and the lorry toppled.... :o

 

Must be speeding very fast. wtf, its a five lanes expressway and the lorry can still flip ... :ph34r:

in the odd hours, some lorry drivers very hiong....i ever saw one doing 120 km/h on KJE lane 1 at 2 am.... :wacko:

causeway link!! i hardly catch up with these buses at 100kmh along AYE <_< <_<

 

but i enjoy the speed when i was on board from Bukit Indah [laugh] [laugh]

I always sees this causeway bus travelling at 110km/hr on the 1st lane every morning at AYE towards town near jurong bird park exit. Hope the authorities can clamp them down.

Timing around 7 to 8 am.
